This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.<\/p>\n

Regime-Affiliated Factory Owners Embezzle $1.4 Billion as Workers Remain Unpaid<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Workers of Haft Tappeh Sugar Company in Khuzestan went on strike to protest the non-payment of their monthly salaries and corruption in the company<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Embezzlement of $1.4 billion by the members of the Iranian regime who own the Haft Tappeh sugarcane factory in Khuzestan while workers\u2019 salaries remain unpaid.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Haft Tappeh<\/a>\u00a0Sugarcane Company\u00a0<\/span>is\u00a0<\/span>located 14 km from Shush city and has factories as well as 24,000 hectares of good<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0land on the banks of the Dez River in Khuzestan Province<\/span>, south-western Iran<\/span>. The company was handed over to Omid\u00a0<\/span>Asadbeigi<\/span>\u00a0and Mehrdad Rostami, 28 and 31<\/span>\u00a0year<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>old<\/span>\u00a0respectively<\/span>, at a 2015 auction with a down payment of only 6 billion tomans. The price and manner of this transfer and the qualifications of these two young men were in a state of ambiguity from the very beginning and indicated the beginning of a major case of government corruption and plundering.<\/span><\/p>\n

June 12 marked the World Day Against Child Labor
\nbut for Iranian labor children, it was another day of a miserable life under the mullahs\u2019 regime.
\nThe Labor Ministry’s Center for Statistics and Strategic Information says there are \u00bd million working children in Iran
\nThe state-run Resalat daily wrote on June 29, 2019:
\n“A study by a faculty member of Tehran University found there were between 3-7 million working children in Iran in 2002”
\nStreet and labor children are the most vulnerable in Iranian society. They are forced to work amid the COVID-19 outbreak
\nYet, instead of using its vast resources to help them, the regime blames these poor children for the spread of COVID-19.
\nThousands of Iranian street children are breadwinners, selling gum & flowers, cleaning car windows or scavenging garbage
\nIranian children, particularly labor and street children, are under tremendous pressure.
\nUnlike children in other countries, they don’t experience the joy of a real childhood.
\nChild labor is an indicator of an explosive society. This problem won\u2019t be resolved as long as the regime is in power.<\/div>\n
