The\u00a0People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI)<\/a>\u00a0announced this afternoon, June 27, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than\u00a061,800\u00a0<\/strong>in 340 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 4720 in Khuzestan, 3670 in Khorasan Razavi, 3145 in Gilan, 2228 in Lorestan, 1575 in Golestan, 635 in North Khorasan, 580 in Hormozagan, 561 in Bushehr, 415 in Ilam. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.<\/p>\n

Iran: coronavirus update Over 61,500 deaths, many dying in villages without being registered<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Over 61,500 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 340 cities in Iran.<\/p>\n

The official death count declared by the regime stands at 10,239, less than a sixth of the actual figure.
\nThe spokesperson of the regime\u2019s Health Ministry\u2014June 26, 2020: 109 people died during the past 24 hours, alongside 2,628 new cases. 2,912 of Iran\u2019s patients are in dire conditions.
\nPhysicians in the city of Mahabad in northwest Iran: The number of COVID-19 cases have doubled in this city from May 21 to this day.
\nCOVID-19 deaths are on the rise, according to a report from a cemetery in the city of Zabol in southeast Iran.
\nMany of these fatalities are being registered as death due to chronic breathing disorder to reduce the coronavirus death toll.
\nSecurity authorities have threatened cemetery officials to remain silent about numbers.<\/p>\n

The Iranian Resistance Units, a network of activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) across Iran, have been organizing various activities that are louder calls for regime change. They celebrated the anniversary of June 20, 1981, which marks the day of martyrs and political prisoners and the day of resistance. The Resistance Units bravely took to graffiti in public places with the slogans: \u201cWe must rise to take back our legitimate rights,\u201d \u201cThe Supreme Leader and the IRGC are nothing to be afraid of,\u201d \u201cDown with Khamenei, Viva Rajavi\u201d and \u201cTruly, tulips blossom from the blood of the young generation.\u201d

The provincial governor of Tehran announced on Wednesday that the poverty line in the province has reached 45 million rial.<\/p>\n

Anoushiravan Mohseni Bandepi said: \u201cWe must not look at the national poverty line. We should consider it by province and in this way, in Tehran, we will have a poverty line of 45 million rials. Single mothers are mostly among these people.\u201d<\/p>\n

He tried to downplay the issue and said \u201cOf course, not all these women need. Of the 8.31 million families who are in the three lowest deciles of the society, 2,379,851 of them, equal to 29 percent, are single women. Also, 191,149 thousand families in Tehran are directed by single mothers and are among the three lowest deciles of society.\u201d<\/p>\n
