NCRI –\u00a0According to terrorist Quds Force\u2019s new agency on February 7, former Iranian regime\u2019s MP Ahmad Tavakkoli has said that \u201cthe revolution (regime) has been gripped by aristocracy and self-indulgence, which has given rise to too many corruptions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tavakkoli pointed out that corruption has now turned systematic. \u201cIn a systematic corruption, the entities responsible for dealing with corruption are themselves affected by it\u201d, said Tavakkoli.<\/p>\n
He then tries to manage his remark somehow, saying \u201chowever, this doesn\u2019t mean that the whole system is corrupt. Although there\u2019s a degree of corruption within the judiciary, Article-90 commission, parliament, police department and supreme audit court, all of which are responsible for fighting corruption, but there are honorable people working there, too. Nevertheless, the system has failed to defend itself properly, and this brings about corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cUnfortunately we have a fragile economy,\u201d Tavakkoli added, \u201cit can\u2019t sustain pressures and our economic growth rate is dependent on oil revenues.\u201d<\/p>\n
He later added that \u201cuntil 2012, the country\u2019s petrochemical industry was used to making huge profits since they were provided with very cheap feed gas, so that they didn\u2019t plan to develop their supply chain and were nearly involved in selling raw materials.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBetween 2007 and 2012\u201d, Tavakkoli added, \u201ctheir net profit was three billion 330 million dollars, while paying 135 million dollars, nearly 4 percent, of that amount as tax.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tavakkoli said that \u201ccorruption has spread to many officials, and we won\u2019t be able to achieve our objectives unless we figure out what to do about it.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
