Reports from Iran indicate there have been various protests by the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nurses<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> across Iran against the regime\u2019s mistreatments. Many of them <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">have <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lost their lives in fighting the coronavirus. The regime\u2019s inaction and cover-up, which has resulted in over 64,000 COVID-19 deaths across Iran, is not limited to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the general population<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Many nurses and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">octors were fired for telling the truth about the true extent of th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> crisis.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In addition to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> risking their lives<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, Iranian medical staff <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are facing enormous work pressure<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Yet the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">regime does not pay anything to improve their situation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it is <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">delay<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ing in paying their salaries. While t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">here are many nurses<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> prepared to work<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, who<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019s hiring could <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">boost <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> exhausted and worn out treatment system<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> the regime refuses to hire them and only signs 89-day contracts with them so that they would <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">not <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">be eligible for insurance and unemployment benefits<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The regime refuses to pay nurses and other medical staff and blames the international sanctions. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">But information from within the regime shows<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> while the COVID-19 continues to ravage Iranian people\u2019s lives, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the regime continues to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">fund its proxy terrorist groups to implement the regime\u2019s warmongering policies such as<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">propping<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> up <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Syrian dictator Bashar-al Assad<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In an interview with the state-run <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ofogh<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Television Network in April, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Parviz<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Fattah, the current head of the Foundation for the Underprivileged<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">(Mostazafan Foundation)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> acknowledged <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">he has used the vast resources of this foundation to pay terrorist proxy groups. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cI was at the IRGC Cooperative Foundation. Haj <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Qassem<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> [<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the eliminated <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">commander <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">of the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Qassem<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Soleimani] came and told me he did not have money to pay the salaries of the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fatemiyoun<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> [Afghan mercenaries]<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. T<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">he IRGC\u2019s non-Syrian mercenar<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ies\u2019<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> salaries in Syria alone amounted to about $70 million a month<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Meanwhile, the nurses in <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Iran, have an average salary of three million <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">toman<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which now equals to $145 per month, yet the regime refuses to pay them.\u00a0 Therefore, the $145<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">monthly salary <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">of<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">an <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Iranian nurse is <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">less than <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a fifth of the $1,000 salary of IRGC mercenaries in Syria<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In this regard, Maryam\u202f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Hazrati<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, Deputy Minister of Nursing of the Ministry of Health, referring to the amount of nurses\u2019 salaries in February 2019, said: \u201cIn the private sector, nurses\u2019 salaries were 1.5 million <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tomans<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> plus performance reward<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in the public sector, 2.5 million <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tomans<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> plus performance reward<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and the average performance reward was a maximum of 800,000 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tomans<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Explosion <\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">at <\/span><\/b><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a medical center in Tehran<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">On June 30, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">there was an explosion at the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Sina<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Athar Clinic<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> located in Shariati Avenue<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in northern Tehran. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nineteen <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">people, including medical staff of th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">clinic<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> were killed. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If this was truly an incident caused by, for <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">instance<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> old aged equipment and facilities<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the regime should be held to account. Because instead of <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">helping the Iranian people, in this case renovating this old medical facility, the regime has been plundering <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">national <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">wealth for pursuing its illicit activities such as the nuclear program and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">funding terrorism.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">My deepest sympathies go out to the families of the victims, particularly the patients,who lost their lives in the catastrophic fire in Tehran\u2019s Sina Clinic.
