The state-run\u00a0<\/span>Keyhan<\/span><\/a>\u00a0daily, known as the mouthpiece of the Iranian regime\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali\u00a0<\/span>Khamenei<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0on<\/span>\u00a0Wednesday wrote:\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>[<\/span>Assadollah<\/span>]\u00a0<\/span><\/a>Assadi’s<\/span>\u00a0incarceration\u00a0<\/span>has\u00a0<\/span>entered its third year<\/span>.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Asad<\/span>o<\/span>llah<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Assadi<\/span>, the regime\u2019s terrorist diplomat<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0was arrested\u00a0<\/span>in early\u00a0July<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a02018<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>while attempting to bomb the\u00a0<\/span>annual \u201cFree Iran\u201d<\/a> gathering in Paris<\/span>\u00a0of the\u00a0<\/span>National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>This event was attended by thousands of Iranians, supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a><\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and many renowned politicians and Members of Parliaments<\/span>\u00a0from the U.S., Europe, the Muslim world, Australia and Canada<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Belgium Extends Sentence for #Iran<\/a>‘ian Regime Terrorist Involved in Plot Against Opposition Conference \u2014 NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) January 23, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Since 2014,\u00a0<\/span>Assadi<\/span>\u00a0was the regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>chief intelligence officer at\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>mullahs\u2019 embassy in Austria, under the pretext of\u00a0<\/span>a diplomat.<\/span>\u00a0He had replaced\u00a0<\/span>Mostafa\u00a0<\/span>Roudaki<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>the station chief of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS)<\/a> in Vienna<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Roudaki<\/span>\u00a0later became the regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>chief intelligence officer<\/span>\u00a0in Albania to further carry<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>out terrorist plots against the MEK<\/a> members who reside in Ashraf 3, Albania.\u00a0<\/span>The Albanian government expelled\u00a0<\/span>Roudaki<\/span>\u00a0as a \u201cpersona non-grata\u201d for his terrorist activities, including the foiled bombing plot of the MEK\u2019s gathering in March 2018, on the eve of the Persian New Year<\/span>, along\u00a0<\/span>with Gholamhossein<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Mohammadnia<\/span>, the regime\u2019s ambassador to Albania<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Assadi<\/span>\u00a0was the main planner of the bombing plot against the NCRI\u2019s Free Iran gathering<\/span>\u00a0in Paris<\/span>. He had\u00a0<\/span>delivered<\/span>\u00a0the bomb himself to\u00a0<\/span>two other terrorist who were supposed to enter the gathering, disguised as MEK supporters, and\u00a0<\/span>carry<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>o<\/span>ut\u00a0<\/span>the bombing plot. But the two terrorists,\u00a0<\/span>Amir\u00a0<\/span>Sadoni<\/span>\u00a0and Nassim\u00a0<\/span>Nomeni<\/span>, were arrested in Belgium.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n At that time the NCRI<\/span>\u00a0in a statement\u00a0<\/span>revealed<\/span><\/a>: \u201c<\/span>The decision to commit this major terrorist crime was taken at the highest level of the regime, i.e. the Supreme Security Council, with the presence of Rouhani and Zarif, and was confirmed by Khamenei. The submissive efforts of the Iranian regime and the lobbyists and regime allies to blame this terrorist act to the fake self-acting circles within the regime and to acquit Rouhani\u2019s faction or Khamenei is so unfounded that with the slightest investigation its factitiousness is revealed.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 2018 witnessed a sharp surge of the regime\u2019s terror plots on Western soil against the MEK and NCRI.\u00a0<\/span>The first series of the Iran protests in 2018, with people demanding the regime change<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0terrified the regime. The subsequent international isolation of the regime, due to its malign activities, such<\/span>\u00a0as<\/span>\u00a0re<\/span>–<\/span>imposition of sanctions by the United States put<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>further\u00a0<\/span>pressure on the regime. Infuriated over the MEK\u2019s leading role both during the uprising and in exposing\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s malign\u00a0<\/span>activities, the regime<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0which was already riddled with crises,\u00a0<\/span>stepped<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>up its terrorist activities.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The regime has been using all its embassies and diplomatic cover, as well as other covers such<\/span>\u00a0as<\/span>\u00a0\u201cjournalism,\u201d to continue its terrorist activities. In this regard, Ali\u00a0<\/span>Fallahian<\/span>, the former head of the MOIS, in an interview said: \u201c<\/span>The ministry needs cover for its works to collect information both inside the country and outside. It is obvious that we\u00a0<\/span>don\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0send an agent to Germany or America and for example say, ok, I am an agent of the information ministry and I am here to collect information, please give that to me. Obviously, he would work under the cover of business or other jobs including reporters. You know many of our reporters are actually ministry agents.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In this regard the Iranian resistance has repeatedly \u201c<\/span>called for the closure of the embassies and agencies of the mullahs\u2019 regime, the centers of terrorism and espionage, and the expulsion of diplomats and the agents of intelligence and terrorist Quds Force from the European countries, and emphasized the need to disclose and publish all details of the case. Public opinion must be fully informed about the mullahs\u2019 regime\u2019s terrorist plots. Yet, it also shows the significance of this meeting and\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>role of the Iranian Resistance, particularly NCRI President-elect Mrs. Maryam\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Rajavi<\/span>, in leading the struggle for regime change and freedom in Iran.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Free Iran gathering urges western governments to side with the Iranian people\u00a0<\/span>in their quest for freedom but also reflects the Iranian people\u2019s desire<\/span>\u00a0for regime change<\/span>. By<\/span>\u00a0sending a strong message of solidarity to the risen people of Iran<\/span>, it<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>has<\/span>\u00a0a huge impact on the\u00a0<\/span>restive\u00a0<\/span>Iranian society.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/span>2020 \u201cGlobal Free Iran<\/span>\u00a0Summit<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0is even more important.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The regime is grappl<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0with crises. The 2019 nationwide Iran protests<\/a>, with the MEK\u2019s Resistance Units<\/a><\/span>\u00a0playing a<\/span>\u00a0leading role,\u00a0<\/span>along with the unprecedented general boycott of the regime\u2019s sham parliamentary elections ha<\/span>ve<\/span>\u00a0terrified this regime.\u00a0<\/span>For<\/span>\u00a040 years<\/span>, the mullahs have continued\u00a0<\/span>oppression, corruption and plundering of the Iranian national wealth for pursuing terrorism and warmongering<\/span>. No<\/span>w the regime\u2019s mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic<\/a> has turned the Iranian society\u00a0<\/span>in<\/span>to a powder keg. The regime\u2019s malign activities\u00a0<\/span>ha<\/span>ve<\/span>\u00a0also increased its international isolation.\u00a0<\/span>These developments indicate\u00a0<\/span>that\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s downfall is imminent.
