The Swedish representative in the UN announced that the purpose of this resolution is to prepare a text to extend the general mandate of the human rights rapporteur to investigate the Iranian regime for a year.<\/p>\n<p>Sweden\u2019s representative at the UN urged all member states to support this draft resolution in the next consultative meeting which is going to be held on March 10th.<\/p>\n<p>Hossein Shariatmadari, the representative of the Iranian regime\u2019s Supreme Leader, in the state-run Kayhan newspaper, in response to Sweden\u2019s position wrote: &#8220;Less than 72 hours after the Swedish Prime Minister was welcomed by the Iranian authorities, the Swedish government responded to the trust of the Iranian leaders by proposing a resolution against the regime.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the Iranian regime\u2019s President Hassan Rouhani, Shariatmadari compared Iran Deal with recent Swedish deals and wrote: &#8220;The Iranian government gave cash bonuses to the U.S. and in exchange it received unfulfilled promises. This approach (to \u00a0Sweden) \u00a0which is being pursued with Europe as well, should actually be called the second Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) . This policy again includes reverence [from us] and contempt [from them].&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another state-run media organization affiliated with Ali Khamenei, the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader, wrote: \u201cThe Swedish government has rewarded Rouhani and his cabinet for their complaisance, and it has taunted Rouhani\u2019s administration who call themselves the Gods of diplomacy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI &ndash; The Swedish Government has proposed a resolution at the United Nations Human Rights Council against the Iranian regime for violating human rights.
