Dozen<\/span>s<\/span> of h<\/span>uman <\/span>r<\/span>ights <\/span>organizations, parliamentar<\/span>y<\/span> committees<\/span> and association<\/span>s<\/span> supporting<\/span>\u00a0<\/span> the Iranian Resistance from <\/span>both sides of the Atlantic, in a statement, <\/span>announced their support <\/span>for <\/span>and solidarity <\/span>with<\/span> the National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a><\/span>\u2019s<\/span> \u201c<\/span>Free Iran Global Summit<\/span><\/a>\u201d<\/span> which will be held on July 17, 2020<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span> The following is the full text of th<\/span>e<\/span> statement.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Statement by the sponsors of the International Online Summit in Support of Human Rights, Freedom & Justice in Iran<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tens of thousands of Iranian communities and supporters of the Iranian people’s resistance from around the world are joining the international online conference in support of human rights and the uprising of the Iranian people to achieve freedom, justice and democracy.<\/span> Hundreds of parliamentarians, politicians and prominent figures, lawyers and international organizations support and sponsor this global online summit.<\/span>\u00a0In the recent uprisings in November 2019 and January 2020, the world saw and heard the cries and demands of the Iranian people to change and overthrow the dictatorial regime of <\/span>Velayat<\/span>-e Faqih. In <\/span>the <\/span>November 2019 uprising, more than 1,500 people were killed by the Revolutionary Guards’ repressive forces <\/span>acting on<\/span> Khamenei’s and Rouhani’s orders. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> has collected the names and photos of hundreds of these victims and made them available to the public and international organizations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Coronavirus tragedy, <\/span>the <\/span>cover-ups, <\/span>absence<\/span> of public information, theft, corruption, incompetence and lack of medical and economic<\/span> aid,<\/span> left<\/span> thousands of people infected. The death toll <\/span>is<\/span> still rising every day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Velayat<\/span>-e Faqih regime, <\/span>a<\/span>s the world’s record-holder of executions and the most active sponsor of international terrorism, is an urgent threat to peace and stability in the region<\/span> and <\/span>to <\/span>the people of the world.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We, the sponsors of this great online summit, <\/span>t<\/span>ogether with thousands of parliamentarians and other personalities<\/span>,<\/span> support the 10-point plan of <\/span>Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a>, to establish a democratic and free republic,<\/span> advocating the separation of religion and state, pluralism, free elections, and <\/span>a <\/span>market economy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
