Ongoing Support of NCRI Free Iran Global Summit From 4 Continents<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The National Council of Resistance of Iran will hold its annual \u201cFree Iran Global Summit\u201d<\/a> on <\/span>17 July. Numerous religious and political leaders<\/span>,<\/span> dignitaries<\/span>,<\/span> and human rights <\/span>organizations <\/span>from both sides of the Atlantic <\/span>have been expressing <\/span>their solidarity with <\/span>the <\/span>NCRI<\/a> and MEK<\/a> virtual conference. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On July 14, a bipartisan group<\/a> of renowned American politicians declared their support <\/span>for the <\/span>\u201cFree Iran Global Summit,\u201d in a joint statement. \u201c<\/span>There is a beacon of hope in this dark landscape. The one organization that has done more than any other entity, including governments, to free Iranian citizens from tyranny and the world from fundamentalist-inspired terrorism is the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a>. The NCRI<\/a> strives relentlessly to ensure that hope for democracy and an end to injustice remains alive in<\/span>,\u201d read the statement.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While <\/span>pointing <\/span>to the pivotal role of the NCRI<\/a> and the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> and their 4-decade-long struggle, the statement <\/span>by more than <\/span>30 American prominent figures<\/a> added: \u201c<\/span>The NCRI and its affiliate organization, the M<\/span>E<\/span>K, have endured unspeakable horrors from the Iranian regime. The NCRI<\/a> and M<\/a><\/span>E<\/span>K have kept very thorough documentation of the atrocities committed against themselves and the Iranian people. M<\/span>E<\/span>K\u2019s Ashraf 3 museum in Albania has compiled a remarkable display and repository of evidence, staffed by victims bearing personal witness to the depraved modalities of regime torture. The M<\/span>E<\/span>K\u2019s documentation is securely backed up in other countries<\/span>.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In another development, <\/span>some 38 of the most prominent religious leaders of Britain<\/a><\/span> in a joint statement expressed their support <\/span>for <\/span>the Iranian Resistance and t<\/span>he ten-point plan of <\/span>NCRI <\/span>President-<\/span>elect<\/span> Mrs.<\/span> Maryam Rajavi<\/span> for a free and democratic future Iran<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>We also support the 10\u2010point democratic platform for future Iran, presented by President\u2010elect of the Iranian Resistance movement, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, which stipulates that \u201cAny form of discrimination against the followers of any religion and denomination will be prohibited\u201d and commits to \u201cthe Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Charter and other international covenant and conventions<\/span>,\u201d read the statement.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, a group of human rights organizations, parliamentary committees and associations supporting the Iranian Resistance movement from various countries in Europe and United States, in both separate and joint statement<\/span>s<\/span> express<\/span>ed<\/span> their total support <\/span>for <\/span>the Iranian people\u2019s struggle for a free Iran and their organized resistance movement, particularly the MEK\u2019s \u201cResistance Units\u201d<\/a> inside Iran.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-300x100\"<\/span><\/a>\u201c<\/span>We, the sponsors of this great online summit, together with thousands of parliamentarians and other personalities, support the 10-point plan of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a>, to establish a democratic and free republic, advocating the separation of religion and state, pluralism, free elections, and a market economy<\/span>,\u201d read their joint statement.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The British Committee for Iran Freedom, in a statement signed by over 120 MPs<\/span> from the United Kingdom<\/span>, underlined its ongoing support <\/span>for <\/span>the Iranian Resistance movement, <\/span>particularly<\/span> the Iranian people’s desire for regime change. “We support the popular protests in Iran against corruption and suppression, and we support the 10-point plan for a future free Iran as outlined by Maryam <\/a><\/span>Rajavi<\/span><\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>).”<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the rising <\/span>international <\/span>support <\/span>for <\/span>the Iranian Resistance\u2019s conference on July 17, many MEK Resistance Units and defiant youth sent messages of solidarity and support <\/span>to <\/span>this conference and posted banners in support of Mrs. Rajavi\u2019s ten-point plan.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The NCRI\u2019s \u201cFree Iran Global Summit\u201d<\/a> reflects the fact that there is <\/span>a <\/span>viable and democratic alternative, capable of overthrowing the regime.<\/span> T<\/span>he summit <\/span>echoes th<\/span>at<\/span> voice and reflects the desire of the Iranian people for regime change. Following the nationwide Iran protests in November<\/a> with over 1500<\/span> martyrs<\/span>, while the Iranian <\/span>regime\u2019s terrorism and warmongering policies threat<\/span>en<\/span> the peace and security <\/span>of<\/span> the world, and as the COVID-19<\/a> <\/span>death toll <\/span>in Iran rapidly rises due to the regime\u2019s inaction and cover-up, it is necessary to be the Iranian people\u2019s voice and stand with them and their organized resistance movement, particularly the\u00a0 MEK\u2019s Resistance <\/a><\/span>U<\/span><\/a>nits.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
