Free Iran Global Summit July 17, 2020<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a> is holding its annual \u201cFree Iran\u201d <\/a><\/span>summit<\/span> in support of the Iranian people\u2019s uprising to overthrow the corrupt and criminal regime.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>online summit is<\/span> link<\/span>ing<\/span> simultaneous rallies in major cities in Europe, the United States, and Australia<\/span>, and it has<\/span> more than 30,000 connection points<\/span> for par<\/span>ticipants. I<\/span>t is the largest <\/span>online <\/span>gathering of its kind in support of a free Iran.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic<\/a>, this year\u2019s \u201cFree Iran Global Summit,\u201d is being held virtually. But it has linked together supporters of a free Iran from more than 100 countries in <\/span>five<\/span> continents. The Iranian Resistance, including those who want to overthrow the ruling religious fascism both in Iran and Ashraf 3, Albania, home to members of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a><\/span>, <\/span>is<\/span> attend<\/span>ing<\/span>, with participants spanning a 17-hour time difference.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nearly 1,000 prominent figures, politicians, and parliamentarians from five continents will take part in the rally in solidarity and in support of the Iranian people\u2019s quest for freedom. Speakers will include Mayor Rudy Giuliani; Senator Joe Lieberman, Stephen Harper; Mich\u00e8le <\/span>Alliot<\/span>-Marie<\/span>,<\/span> Giulio Terzi<\/span>, \u00a0John Baird<\/span>,<\/span> and<\/span> Anna <\/span>Fotyga<\/span>, the<\/span> former Foreign Ministers of France, Italy, Canada, and Poland<\/span> respectively<\/span>; former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey; former French Minister of Human Rights Rama <\/span>Yade<\/span>; Ambassadors Robert Joseph, Lincoln Bloomfield, and Kenneth Blackwell; dignitaries such as Ingrid Betancourt and Linda Chavez; and representatives from the European, German, French, and Italian parliaments.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTwo days ago began the trial of Assadollah Assadi, who tried to kill all of us in the [2018] Paris rally. This tyranny wants to blow us up to cling to power and greed. We are all together in putting a stop to this madness. Assadi was the main planner of the plot. He\u2019s a terrorist, he was covering himself as a third-consul of the Iranian embassy, but the governments of Europe already knew he was a terrorist and were following him. This sophisticated plot was neutralized at the last stage.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been proven that Khamenei personally ordered the attack. According to official sources, the response by the French government was far from significant. The regime has spared no effort to stop Assadi\u2019s trial. They have taken hostages, European nationals, French and British nationals to bargain. This has created tremendous pain for the families of our citizens. We are the potential victims of the mullahs\u2019 madness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRegime leaders have to be held to account for this plot. In the same way we won\u2019t settle for less for obtaining the freedom of Iran, the ten-point plan of Maryam Rajavi, whom I salute and admire as a leader. The wind is moving the forces of freedom in Iran. <\/span>The regime is collapsing. The people are fed up with the oppression of the totalitarian regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

These are crimes of the most serious nature. They rival what happened in Nazi germany and Bosnia. We need a world-class documentation center to gather the evidence. They wish to influence the media to discredit the opposition, the MEK. [Tehran] promotes fake news about its nuclear program, tries to portray its intervention in Syria and Iraq as humanitarian.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIran blocks websites and social media networks while tracking mobile devices. The Iranian people and protesters are becoming more creative and technical to make their voices heard.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe U.S. must step up to address the cyber threat of Iran. We will never find a solution to a free Iran without dedicating ourselves to a new approach:<\/span><\/p>\n
