Iranians, supporters of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a><\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0held a protest rally on\u00a0<\/span>August 1 in Brussels<\/span>, Belgium in front of the regime\u2019s embassy, and condemned the Iranian regime\u2019s terrorism.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The demonstration\u00a0<\/span>by\u00a0<\/span>the MEK<\/a> supporters was held\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>few days after the second trial of the Iranian regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>diplomat-<\/span>terrorist\u00a0<\/span>Assadollah<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Assad<\/span>i<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>Assadi<\/span>\u00a0was arrested in\u00a0<\/span>July 1, 2<\/span>018, along with his three accomplices, while attempting to bomb<\/a> the NCRI\u2019s annual \u201cFree Iran\u201d<\/a> gathering in Paris.\u00a0\u00a0Assadi\u00a0and three other terrorists have been in custody since then.\u00a0<\/span>This is the first time a diplomat in Europe has been put on trial for direct involvement in terrorism<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Following the first nationwide Iran protests<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in 2018<\/span>, during which the MEK played a leading role, and as the regime was grappling with international crisis<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>mullahs were infuriated over\u00a0<\/span>the growing global standing of the NCRI<\/a> and its president-elect Mrs. Maryam\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Rajavi<\/span>. Therefore, for the\u00a0first t<\/span>ime\u00a0<\/span>regime had its\u00a0<\/span>diplomat-<\/span>terrorist<\/span>\u00a0personally deliver the bomb\u00a0<\/span>in order to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>assassinate<\/a> Mrs.\u00a0<\/span>Rajavi<\/span>\u00a0and other international supporters of the Iranian people and their Resistance.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Earlier<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in March 2018<\/span>, the regime planned a terrorist attack\u00a0<\/span>against the\u00a0<\/span>MEK\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>Nowruz celebrations in Albania,\u00a0<\/span>attended<\/span>\u00a0by Mrs. Rajavi and a group of foreign guests<\/span>. This plot was also<\/span>\u00a0foiled and led to the expulsion<\/a> of the regime\u2019s ambassador and three other diplomats from Albania.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Due to the nature of this case<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>a court in Antwerp, Belgium held the second preliminary hearing on the case<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0Assadi\u00a0<\/a>on July 30, 2020, and the\u00a0<\/span>three-judge panel referred the case of the four jailed terrorists to the Antwerp Special Counter-Terrorism Branch<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>This was the end of\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>preliminary stages of the trial of\u00a0<\/span>Assadi<\/span>\u00a0and his accomplices<\/span>. The regime had been desperately struggling<\/span>\u00a0to prevent\u00a0<\/span>a trial\u00a0<\/span>from\u00a0<\/span>taking place<\/span>. The trial will begin on November 27, 2020.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n #Iran<\/a>: In Second Hearing, Court in Antwerp Refers Prosecution of Iran Regime’s Diplomat-Terrorist Assadollah Assadi, His Three Accomplices, to Anti-Terrorism Branch \u2014 NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) July 30, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Assadi\u00a0<\/a>is a veteran officer of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and the station chief in Austria, which acts as the main base of the MOIS operations in Europe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Previously, Mrs.\u00a0<\/span>Rajavi<\/span>\u00a0had t<\/span>estified for seven hours while presenting documents which made it clear that this major terrorist operation was decided during a session of the regime\u2019s Supreme National Security Council headed by\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s president\u00a0<\/span>Hassan Rouhani and approved with the direct order of the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.<\/span>\u00a0Mrs.\u00a0<\/span>Rajavi<\/span>\u00a0highlighted that\u00a0<\/span>in addition to\u00a0<\/span>Assadi<\/span>\u00a0and other terrorists arrested, the actual masterminds, namely Khamenei, Rouhani,\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s Foreign Minister Mohammad\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Javad<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Zarif, and the Minister<\/span>\u00a0of Intelligence and Security,<\/span>\u00a0Mahmoud\u00a0<\/span>Alavi<\/span>\u00a0must be prosecuted.<\/span>\u00a0\u201c<\/span>This was necessary to stop the mullahs\u2019 unbridled terrorism,<\/span>\u201d she added.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n All of the privileges and resources that the regime relies on to carry out its terrorist acts in Europe must be taken away from it.
