State-Run Jahan-E-Sanat Newspaper Was Banned Over the Publication of an Interview<\/h3>\n

\"Jahan-Sanat\"Today it was announced that the state-run Jahan-e-Sanat newspaper was banned over the publication of an interview in which it was acknowledged that regime is covering up the fatality statistics of coronavirus and the official statistic of fatalities is one-twentieth of the actual statistics
\nMohammad Reza Saadi, director of the state-run Jahan-e-Sanat newspaper, announced that the newspaper had been banned by the clerical regime.
\nHe said: “Today, Monday, August 10, at a meeting of the Press Supervisory Board, due to the publication of an interview in yesterday’s issue (Sunday, August 9, 2020), “The Jahan Sanat newspaper was temporarily banned.”
\nMohammad Reza Saadi added: “So far, I have not received a written verdict and the verdict has been issued only orally by the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board.”
\nIn a report published in the Jahan-e-Sanat newspaper entitled “We do not trust government statistics” Mohammad Reza Mahboobfar, a member of the National Coronavirus Combat Task Force, said<\/a>, \u201cIn late December, precisely one month before the official announcement of the emergence of Coronavirus in the country, the first case of an infected patient was identified. At the time, however, the Government engaged in a cover-up because of political and security reasons\u2026 Regrettably, since the very beginning, there was no transparent public information effort. Most certainly, since the start of the virus in the country, these figures have been engineered. In any case, these figures are injected into society according to political and security considerations. In my view, the figures announced by the Ministry of Health (the number of those infected and dead) is one-twentieth of the real and actual figures.\u201d<\/p>\n
