Oil workers in several oil-<\/span>rich<\/span>\u00a0provinces<\/span>\u00a0of Iran<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>on Wednesday\u00a0<\/span>are on\u00a0<\/span>strike<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>1<\/span>4<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>consecutive<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>day<\/span>. Amid international sanctions and a restive society, the oil workers\u2019 strike is a heavy blow to the Iranian regime and its oil-dependent economy.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The striking workers and employees\u00a0<\/span>in 20 cities in 12 provinces<\/span>\u00a0went on strike since they are\u00a0<\/span>suffering from intolerable working conditions in extreme heat and\u00a0<\/span>exceedingly difficult<\/span>\u00a0living conditions<\/span>. They also lack job security and\u00a0<\/span>insurance since<\/span>\u00a0they were forced to sign tempo<\/span>rary contracts.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Many of these workers have been victims of the regime\u2019s so-called \u201cprivatization policy\u201d which is nothing but handing these companies to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and its affiliates<\/span>\u00a0to further plunder\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>national wealth for funding terrorism<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>In 2009, the regime handed petrochemical\u00a0<\/span>refineries\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>some<\/span>\u00a0oil refineries to some of these so-called \u201cprivate companies\u201d which are affiliated\u00a0<\/span>with<\/span>\u00a0the IRG<\/span>C.\u00a0<\/span>Bakhtar<\/span>\u00a0refinery near Abadan, in Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran, is an example of how\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>corruption is affecting workers\u2019 life. Jalal Mahmoud Zadeh, one of the regime\u2019s former Members of Parliament<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in September\u00a0<\/span>2019, told<\/span>\u00a0the state-run\u00a0<\/span>Danesh-e Naft<\/span><\/a>, that the real price of the\u00a0<\/span>Bakhtar<\/span>\u00a0petrochemical\u00a0<\/span>refinery<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>real value was\u00a0<\/span>\u201c4<\/span>0 trillion\u00a0<\/span>rials but<\/span>\u00a0was sold at 1<\/span>.<\/span>3 trillion\u00a0<\/span>rials.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Iranian regime has been trying to end the oil workers\u2019 strike by giving them hollow promises or even threatening them.\u00a0<\/span>But<\/span>\u00a0workers have not succumbed to the regime\u2019s demands.\u00a0<\/span>This ongoing strike has very much terrified the mullahs\u2019 regime. In this regard, the state-run\u00a0<\/span>Fara<\/span>\u00a0website wrote: \u201cThe oil workers\u2019 protest\u00a0<\/span>is very important<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>it\u00a0<\/span>could increase labor protests. Meanwhile, neither the Ministry of Oil nor any other official have addressed this issue.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Iranian regime\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Vice President,\u00a0<\/span>Eshagh<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Jahangiri<\/span>, had recently acknowledged the sharp drop of the regime\u2019s oil\u00a0<\/span>revenue<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cWe had $100 billion oil revenues. But our total oil revenue last year was around $8 billion. This decrease of revenue has had an impact on all parts, including the government\u2019s budget<\/span>,<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0he said.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Since the regime has used oil and gas revenues to fund its proxy terrorist groups, this sharp increase of oil and gas revenue, along with the oil workers\u2019 strike<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>will have a direct effect on the regime\u2019s warmongering policies.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist group,\u00a0<\/span>once<\/span>\u00a0said: \u201cBrothers, we are not ashamed to say that Hezbollah\u2019s budget, expenses, food, and weapons\u00a0<\/span>come\u00a0<\/span>from the Islamic Republic of Iran.\u00a0As long as\u00a0Iran has money, we have money. Do you want more transparency?\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Now what w<\/span>ould\u00a0<\/span>Hezbollah and other terrorist groups\u00a0<\/span>do\u00a0<\/span>when\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>regime loses its oil revenue?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The regime\u2019s solution\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Since\u00a0<\/span>domestic oppression and export of terrorism abroad<\/span>\u00a0are the regime\u2019s two pillars of existence,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>mullahs will further plunder people and take wrong policies t<\/span>o compensate their budget deficit.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Recently the regime\u2019s president Hassan Rouhani<\/span>\u00a0announced a plan signed by\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>mullahs\u2019 Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to further plunder people:\u00a0<\/span>Selling oil<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to the Iranian people.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThe government wants to pre-sell 220 million barrels of oil in one year in the form of the supply of \u2018parallel oil futures\u2019 whose price is determined based on the government official exchange rate system.
