MEK announced on Sunday, August 16, 2020, that the COVID-19 death toll in 392 cities across Iran had passed 89,600<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A glance at the Iranian regime\u2019s approach toward people during the COVID-19 outbreak alone shows how\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>mullahs<\/span>\u00a0are using this virus to achieve their sinister goals.\u00a0<\/span>Meanwhile,<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0mullahs are careful not be infected by this virus.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iranian regime<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>P<\/span>resident<\/span>\u00a0Hassan Rouhani<\/span>\u00a0refused to\u00a0<\/span>go the parliament and accepted the risk of not being able to gather enough votes for his\u00a0<\/span>proposed Minister of Industry and Mines. In another development,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s Assembly of Experts postponed its session last week due to the coronavirus outbreak.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0All the while, Rouhani and other officials are insisting on holding the university entrance exams and the mourning ceremonies for Shi\u2019ite<\/span>\u00a0Islam\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0third Imam, Hossain-ibn-Ali. This\u00a0<\/span>is\u00a0<\/span>despite numerous warning by the regime\u2019s own health officials\u00a0<\/span>who p<\/span>redicted<\/span>\u00a0holding the Muharram mourning ceremonies or the entrance exams will further increase the number of the COVID-19 infection\u00a0<\/span>and mortality rate.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the entrance exam is discussed, again some people say whether it must be held or not? Well, how is it that we go to streets today? How is it that we run work offices,\u00a0<\/span>stores,<\/span>\u00a0and malls? Holding university entrance exams is no different<\/span>,\u201d\u00a0<\/span>said<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Rouhani on Saturday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He also blamed people for not taking the health protocols seriously and this\u00a0<\/span>illness has \u201c<\/span>a very short<\/span>\u00a0period. He bogusly claimed this<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0while back in February, he<\/span>\u00a0had<\/span>\u00a0said everything would\u00a0<\/span>return to normal<\/span><\/a>\u00a0by February 29.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq<\/span>\u00a0or MEK)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0announced on Sunday\u00a0<\/span>that\u00a0<\/span>nearly<\/span><\/a>\u00a090,000 people have died because of the novel coronavirus outbreak.\u00a0<\/span>P<\/span>eople are grappling with economic hardships, due to the regime\u2019s wrong economic and foreign policies,\u00a0<\/span>and the coronavirus outbreak. Yet, instead of helping people the regime\u2019s officials, notably\u00a0<\/span>regime\u00a0<\/span>Supreme Leader Ali\u00a0<\/span>Khamenei and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Rouhani, blame people for the spread of this virus<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>bogusly talk\u00a0<\/span>about \u201c<\/span>people\u2019s lack of cooperation,\u201d or failure in \u201cabiding by health protocol.\u00a0<\/span>All the while, they send people to the minefield of the coronavirus.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Khamenei<\/span>\u00a0has even described<\/span>\u00a0this pandemic, with its rising death toll,\u00a0<\/span>as\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>\u201cblessing\u201d for the regime rather than a disaster for\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>people.\u00a0<\/span>The chain of events shows the regime really considered this virus as a gift from heaven and\u00a0<\/span>an ally to quell the restive Iranian society, particularly after the nationwide Iran protests in November 2019 and January 2020, which rattled the regime\u2019s foundations.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iranian regime\u2019s wrong social and economic policies, as well as its forty years of oppression, has turned the Iranian society to a powder keg.\u00a0<\/span>After the nationwide Iran protests in November and January, with people chanting \u201cdeath to dictator,\u201d\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>mullahs understood that another uprising\u00a0<\/span>was\u00a0<\/span>inevitable.\u00a0<\/span>The public boycott of the regime\u2019s sham parliamentary elections showed the real vote of the Iranian people is\u00a0<\/span>for\u00a0<\/span>regime change.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To prolong its life, the Iranian regime denied the existence of virus for almost a month.\u00a0<\/span>It held the elections although its officials were aware that this election will be largely boycotted<\/span>\u00a0by people. When\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>mullahs were forced to announce the existence of virus, they started downplaying it. They told people to stay at home\u00a0<\/span>during holidays but opened all highways and\u00a0<\/span>did not impose and control the necessary health protocols. The quarantine in Iran was unlike other countries. People were not supported by\u00a0<\/span>the government and this was increasing social hatred toward regime. So, Khamenei and Rouhani forced people back to work.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The outcome<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The regime\u2019s mismanagement of the coronavirus outbreak has increased people\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>hatred toward the regime<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0The regime intends to prevent any uprising by using this virus and killing people. Yet, these actions will soon turn people\u2019s sadness of losing their loved ones to more anger toward the regime.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this regard<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0the state-run\u00a0<\/span>Mostaghel<\/span>\u00a0daily\u00a0<\/span>wrote<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in July 13: \u201c<\/span>This nation will not forget how it was abandoned during these bitter days.\u00a0 This will affect the upcoming incidents. The Government did not contain and control the coronavirus to relevantly control the anger of defiant people. But I wish that the suffering and illness of the people were not used as a cure for obliviousness and a means of revenge of the events of November and December. Because soon, people will come to their table for eating, and their despair of an empty table will lead them to protest on busy streets.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
