Alireza Jafarlou and Alireza Goudarzi killed by Iranian regime’s security forces<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Reports from Iran indicate the regime\u2019s State Security Forces (SSF) shot and killed two young m<\/span>e<\/span>n in Shahriar near Tehran<\/span>. This action along with the regime\u2019s recent executions, although tragic, show <\/span>the <\/span>mullahs\u2019 fear of the society.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The two young m<\/span>e<\/span>n, identified as Alireza <\/span>Jafarlou<\/span>, who was a university student, and Alireza <\/span>Goudarzi<\/span>, <\/span>were targeted by the repressive forces while on <\/span>the <\/span>street. According to reports, Alireza <\/span>Goudarzi<\/span> instantly die<\/span>d<\/span> but Alireza <\/span>Jafarlo<\/span>u<\/span> was <\/span>wounded. <\/span>Instead of sending Alireza <\/span>Jafarlo<\/span>u<\/span> to hospital<\/span>,<\/span> SSF forces start beating him<\/span>, and when people tr<\/span>ied<\/span> to save him, the oppressive forces threaten<\/span>ed<\/span> them. Therefore, Alireza <\/span>Jafarlo<\/span>u<\/span> also die<\/span>d<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span> The SSF forces killed these two innocent young men for refusing to show their driv<\/span>ing<\/span> license.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shahriar <\/span>is located <\/span>42 kilometers west of the capital Tehran<\/span>. The city<\/span> had one of<\/span> the highest death toll<\/span>s<\/span> during the major <\/span>Iran protests in November<\/span><\/a> 2019.<\/span> According to the <\/span>People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/span>,<\/span><\/a> the Iranian regime killed over <\/span>1500 protesters<\/span><\/a> during the nationwide Iran protests which rattled the regime\u2019s foundations.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regime has further increased its oppressive<\/span> measures to tighten its grip on power and thwart a popular uprising by trying to intimidate <\/span>the public.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iranian regime <\/span>executed<\/span><\/a> Mostafa Salehi on August 5 in Isfahan. Mostafa was arrested during the 2018 nationwide Iran protests. He was severely tortured<\/span> to make false confessions. <\/span>His execution took place <\/span>days after an international campaign and protests<\/span> by family members of <\/span>eight<\/span> other detained protesters forced the regime to halt their execution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-300x100\"<\/a><\/span>I<\/span>n this regard, <\/span>Mrs.\u202f<\/span>Maryam Rajavi<\/span><\/a>, President-elect of the\u202f<\/span>National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> while strongly condemning Mostafa Salehi\u2019s execution said: \u201c<\/span>Reluctantly forced to refrain from executing eight other detained protesters subsequent to the millions-strong social media campaign calling for the halt in executions, the ruling religious fascism carried out this execution in retaliation and in order to terrorize the public and thwart the outbreak of any uprising.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the Iranian regime executed several inmates, including a woman<\/span>,<\/span> last week. Prior to this in July 2020, the mullahs\u2019 regime executed a man merely for drinking alcohol in Mashhad, <\/span>northeast Iran.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iranian regime is riddled with crises. The coronavirus outbreak and the regime\u2019s failed plan to use mass casualties to thwart <\/span>uprisings by different sectors of the Iranian society, <\/span>the <\/span>mullahs\u2019 international isolation for their terrorism and malign activities, <\/span>the <\/span>protests in Iraq and <\/span>Lebanon<\/span> against the regime\u2019s deadly presence<\/span>, and <\/span>the <\/span>death of the regime\u2019s terror mastermind Qassem Soleimani are some of the crises and major blows to the regime.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the regime\u2019s wrong economic policies, oppression and now its mismanagement of the coronavirus outbreak ha<\/span>ve<\/span> turned the Iranian society into <\/span>a powder keg. Daily protests by different walks of life in Iran and the regime\u2019s utter fear of another uprising, reflected in the state-run media outlets<\/span>,<\/span> confirm the Iranian society\u2019s restiveness.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

O<\/span>n <\/span>August <\/span>1<\/span>,<\/span> the state-run <\/span>Etemad<\/span> Online<\/span> website wrote: \u201c<\/span>Uprisings\u202fare the product of crises in people\u2019s living conditions. It is an unbearable situation that forces dissatisfied people to protest. In fact,\u202fpeople\u2019s\u202fdistrust of governing institutions is an essential factor in protests and\u202fuprisings. People do not\u202fparticipate in protests\u202ffor fun or entertainment; they\u202ftake the\u202frisk\u202fto fight <\/span>for a better life. In protest movements, the relations\u202famong\u202fthe protesters\u202fis especially important.\u202fSocial media\u202fprovides\u202fthese links in the best feasible way. But not to\u202fprevent them\u202fto\u202fgo\u202fto\u202fthe street, but\u202f<\/span>to the contrary<\/span>,\u202fto\u202ffacilitate them\u202fto\u202f<\/span>take <\/span>to\u202fthe street<\/span>s<\/span>.\u202f<\/span> Whether virtual or real, every act is an exercise in creating an autonomous space, preparing for collective action,\u202fand\u202foccupying\u202fthe streets. Didn\u2019t you see the\u202f<\/span>protests of November 2019<\/span><\/a>\u202fjust a few months ago?<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
