At least 100,000 Iranians have so far perished. Was it Inevitable? Since the virus spread to Iran and the first instances of fatalities were seen the mullahs for political reasons covered it up. There has been a systematic campaign of deception, lying, and downplaying the scope. Security apparatus, namely the IRGC took control of the dissemination of information. Mullahs refrained from any meaningful lockdown and to quarantine hot spots. Did not provide hospitals with required funding, equipment, and salaries for doctors and nurses. It refrained from deploying the government’s resources, particularly its financial and technological resources consolidated in the IRGC’s holdings and companies as well as by Khamenei’s Headquarters. The Health Minister said that despite his repeated appeals since the beginning of the outbreak for the first time, only 300 million Euros was provided to the ministry in June, 3.5 Euros per person to confront the pandemic. Yet, the mullahs continued to launch expensive satellites into space. Concurrently, pursued its belligerent and terrorist activities in Iraq, Syria, and escalated its ominous nuclear activities to a new level. Mullahs abandoned the obligations that any government fulfills when faced with emergency conditions. It provided almost no assistance to the people, especially the poor, forcing them to go back to work in order to survive. The Coronavirus crisis in Iran should not be compared with the situation in other countries. In Iran, the regime and the virus are on one side and the people are on the other side. In March, Khamenei openly said that he sought to create an opportunity and a blessing out of the coronavirus crisis. He and his president, Rouhani pursued the strategy of colossal human fatalities as a barrier against the threat of an uprising and eventual overthrow and to pacify and demoralize the Iranian society, rendering it hopeless and paralyzed. Iranians have paid dearly and costly. Tragic scenes in Iranian cities, morgues, cemeteries are daily reminders of the fact that the abnormal surging trend of the number of coronavirus victims in Iran is a product of Khamenei and Rouhani. But the mullahs have failed and the fear of popular uprising has been a common thread in senior officials. The fate of corona and fate of the ayatollahs have become intertwined in Iran. #Coronavirus #Iran #NCRI #FreeIran2020 Read More: https://www.ncr-iran.org https://www.facebook.com/IranNCR/ https://twitter.com/iran_policy Subscribe to NCRI weekly newsletter t.ly/MybJ">

Since the virus spread to Iran and the first instances of fatalities were seen, the mullahs for political reasons covered it up. The official death count declared by the regime stands at 22,410, around a fifth of the actual figure. Regarding the tragic Coronavirus crisis in Iran and more than 100,000 fatalities, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran said: This scale of the death toll is the immediate result of the criminal and inhuman policies pursued by Khamenei and Rouhani. This was entirely preventable. Torture of Political Prisoners for Forced TV Confessions In a tweet on September 5, the sister of political prisoner Ali Younesi, an award-winning student at the Sharif University of Technology who has been in prison for the past five months, wrote, “On Wednesday, my brother Ali Younesi was told to accept the charges against him in a televised confession, and in which case he will receive a life sentence instead of the death penalty. After five months of detention, solitary confinement, and public interrogation, they have been insisting for a TV interview, by threatening and pressuring (him) for the past three weeks.” Amir Hossein Moradi and Ali Younesi, two elite students at the Sharif University of Technology, went missing on April 10, 2020. The mullahs’ Judiciary reluctantly acknowledged their arrest on May 5, 2020. Considering that systematic torture is a clear example of a crime against humanity, the Iranian Resistance called on the international community to take urgent action to secure the release of detained protesters and political prisoners. Iran: Workers and Employees Protest in Various Cities Rural Telecommunications Company employees from different provinces gathered in front of the mullahs’ Majlis on Monday, protesting officials’ refusal to address their problems, including wage increases, job bonuses and bringing an end to discrimination in the company. Municipal workers in the city of Sarbandar of Khuzestan province, gathered in front of the municipality building on Sunday, protesting at least six months delays in their paychecks, insurance premiums and job bonuses. On Monday, various workers of the Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company continued their protest rally in front of the governorate in the city of Shush in Khuzestan province, southwest Iran. Haft Tappeh’s fired workers are demand changes to their temporary contract and returning to work.
