NCRI –\u00a0In reaction to remarks made a few days ago by regime\u2019s MP \u2018Mahmoud Sadeghi\u2019 about the \u2018astronomical salaries\u2019 paid in the judicial branch, regime\u2019s head of judiciary has accused Sadeghi of acting in line with the attacks made by enemies from abroad.<\/p>\n
According to state-run IRNA news agency, Sadegh Larijani claimed on Monday April 17 that \u201cover the past few years, the judiciary has been faced with severe attacks by enemies, and unfortunately some from inside.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe sad point is that some in the country are acting in line with such enemies\u2019 attacks, jumping into the fray and raising slogans against the judiciary while deceiving and resorting to threadbare techniques\u201d, added Larijani, while attacking the MP.<\/p>\n
Mahmoud Sadeghi had said in parliament\u2019s plenary session on April 10 that the judiciary has paid its employees 285 billion tomans more salaries and bonuses than lawfully allowed.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the chairman of parliament\u2019s planning and Budget Committee \u2018Gholamreza Tajgardoon\u2019 had also announced in an April 1 interview that according to a Court of Audit report, an entity responsible for fighting against \u2018astronomical salaries\u2019 had itself paid its employees 250 billion tomans in excess of what\u2019s legally been approved, though he didn\u2019t give any further details.<\/p>\n
Court of Audit is a monitoring entity affiliated to the parliament, which monitors how government organizations spend their budgets.<\/p>\n
The reports come at a time when, in the midst of clashes between rival bands and on the eve of regime\u2019s presidential elections in particular, judicial authorities and entities linked to Khamenei had severely attacked Rouhani and his government over paying high salaries to government executives, vowing that a number of the executives would be dealt with.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ali Younesi, Rouhani\u2019s special advisor on ethnic and religious minorities\u2019 affairs, had earlier said that the disclosure of government executives\u2019 payrolls was aimed at affecting the 2017 presidential elections.<\/p>\n
