NCRI –\u00a0The Iranian regime\u2019s Parliament on Sunday April 23, hold a closed-door session to address the issue of unemployment, in this meeting Ministers of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare and the head of Parliament\u2019s Research Center admitted that if even every year one million jobs are created, the unemployment rate will not change until 2021.<\/p>\n
The state run \u2018Mehr news agency\u2019 quoted a representative whose name is not mentioned, that the Minister of Labor reported the number of unemployed in the country is over 3,200,000 people.<\/p>\n
According to the report, Ali Rabii has also announced in the meeting that if even one million jobs are created, the unemployment rate will not decrease until 2021.<\/p>\n
Hassan Rouhani, the president, had previously acknowledged that every year 800 thousand graduates enter the job market and if 700 thousand jobs are created annually, still 500 thousand are added to the unemployed.<\/p>\n
Rouhani had acknowledged on October 22, 2016 that in 2016, one million and 200 thousand job seekers entered the labor market, but his government could not meet these many demands.<\/p>\n
The Statistics Center of Iran claimed that in the fall of 2016 the unemployment rate reached 12.3 percent.<\/p>\n
Hassan Rohani government officials also have said that the previous government had created “only 14 thousand” jobs.<\/p>\n
Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, also stressed that according to a Census Bureau report, in the former government, “at best, only 75 thousand” jobs were created in a year.<\/p>\n
Ahmadinejad government authorities however had previously announced that his government created “eight million jobs”.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Akbar Ranjbarzadeh, board member of parliament, said the figures announced by the Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare differ from Parliament Research Center about unemployment of three million people.<\/p>\n
He reported that the Minister of Labor announced the unemployment rate as three million and 200 thousand and Research Center announced the rate of six million and 500 thousand up to 7 million people.<\/p>\n
According to the lawmaker, according to the Research Center if a million jobs are created per year, the current unemployment rate will continue until 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
