At the time of release of these four prisoners it was revealed that U.S.\u00a0 Had delivered $400 million of the Iran\u2019s confiscated assets left from the previous regime which was for purchase of ammunition by Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Later on these actions turned out to be the subject of some heated quarrels between Ministry of Intelligence and Intelligence organization of IRGC each one claiming that release of money and prisoners were due to their own efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Meanwhile, Mahmoud Alavi in his speech on Friday said: \u201cNegotiations with America was basically possible for the Ministry of Intelligence according to a directive of &#8220;Supreme National Security Council\u201d. He also said that the ministry under his leadership with providing timely information and warnings on the country\u2019s diplomacy had created a crucial platform for &#8220;healthy\u00a0International relationship\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Before him, Abolfazl Hossein-Baigy, assistant chair of Parliament\u2019s National Security and International Relations had said that U.S. was supposed to release 20 Iranian prisoners to get Jason Rezaian.
