Two of the prisoners were identified as Behrouz Momeni and Mohsen Torkashvand who were accused of theft and sentenced to flogging. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 32,616, around a fourth of the actual figure. The current circumstances were forecasted long ago by experts and the necessary warnings were issued. The actual death toll cannot be denied, and the Health Ministry is merely registering the deaths of those patients who tested positive,\u201d said Hossein Ghashlaghi, a member of the Supreme Medical Apparatus Council on Sunday. \u201cWe have the winter and cold weather ahead of us. There are serious concerns that our death toll will increase in the coming days and months,\u201d said Deputy Health Minister Reza Malakzadeh on Saturday. \u201cMore than 50 million of the country\u2019s population are still prone to contracting coronavirus,\u201d he added, according to state TV. Iran Regime&#039;s Security Forces Torture and Murder a Young Man Iran&#039;s State Security Forces in Mashhad tortured and killed a 28-year-old man named Mehrdad Sepehri in public, using a taser and pepper spray. The young man, unconscious due to torture and pepper spray, died in the police car, and signs of beatings and torture were visible on his body. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran said that the scenes of torture and brutal murder of this young man in public have left a scar on the conscience and feelings of the Iranian people. Mrs. Rajavi said: \u201cThe recent unhinged acts of cruelty, from Mahshahr and Abadan to Mashhad and Tehran, show that the clerical regime has been able to continue its rule only through repression, torture, and execution. These crimes have been ongoing in our occupied homeland. But enough is enough. The people and youth of this homeland can no longer tolerate it. The international community must condemn the torture and murder of defenseless young man Mehrdad Sepehri. The SSF must be sanctioned and blacklisted.
