The detainees include political prisoners as well as ordinary prisoners detained on common crimes. The relocation of some 300 female prisoners took place on October 23, 2020. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 33,714, around a fourth of the actual figure. The regime\u2019s Health Ministry spokesperson announced the mullahs\u2019 engineered Covid-19 numbers on Wednesday as an unprecedented 415 deaths, 6824 new Covid-19 cases and 5012 patients are in ICUs during the past 24-hour period. The first and third stats are the highest such numbers since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Resistance Units Honor Victims of November 2019 Protests Across Iran With the anniversary of Iran\u2019s November 2019 nationwide uprising approaching, the Iranian Resistance Units, the internal network of the Iranian opposition movement, the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran commemorated the martyrs of the protests by installing and holding their pictures, across the country and spread the slogans and messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran Maryam Rajavi in various cities. The November 2019 protests in Iran erupted when the Iranian regime suddenly increased gas prices. The protests quickly spread to more than 190 cities across Iran. The regime\u2019s answer to the protests was brutal repression. Security forces gunned down 1,500 young protesters in the streets. These statistics, obtained through the efforts of MEK Resistance Units, were later confirmed by Reuters. Many of the victims were teenagers and youths. Iran: Protests Over Unpaid Wages Continue in Several Cities As economic conditions continue to deteriorate in Iran, people of all walks of life are protesting to the regime\u2019s corrupt economic policies and disregard toward the plight of the people. On Tuesday, October 27, the Navid Zar Shimi petrochemical workers went on strike in the port of\u201d Imam\u201d, southern Iran, demanding an increase in their salaries. In the city of Rudbar, northern Iran, the workers Damash mineral water factory workers have been holding protest rallies for several consecutive days, demanding the payment of delayed salaries. On Tuesday, October 27, in the city of Arak, a group of preschool teachers held a rally in front of the General Directorate of Education in Markazi Province, central Iran, demanding unconditional employment. A group of educators from the Literacy Movement, in the city of Dezful, southwest Iran, also demanded that their job status be clarified. On Monday, a group of workers of the National Iranian Drilling Company held a rally in Ahvaz, Khuzestan province, protesting their six-month-delayed wages and officials\u2019 failure to pay the workers&#039; social security premiums.
