As the anniversary of the major Iran protests approaches, and amid domestic and international pressures, Iran\u2019s state media reflected the clerical regime\u2019s ultimate fear of the resistance movement.<\/p>\n

The state-run media outlets have particularly expressed fear over the leading role of the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) and its Resistance Units during the November 2019 uprising.<\/p>\n

\"Resalat_news_paper_Iran_29102020\"In an article on Tuesday, the state-run Resalat daily wrote<\/a>: \u201cIn general, 2019 was one of the most important historical points since the Islamic revolution [in 1979].\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSince the spring of 2019, the trend of developments accelerated. The combination of external pressure, insecurity at the borders, conflicts in the Persian Gulf, and the rising currency rate, resulting in economic and living challenges, made 2019 a special year,\u201d Resalat wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the middle of the very same year [2019], whispers of a gasoline price hike were heard, which turned into reality in November and sparked the powder keg [in Iran\u2019s society]. Increasing the fuel price had not been possible for several years. Yet, this important event took place in 2019 at the height of people\u2019s economic problems,\u201d Resalat wrote, referring to the event which led to the November uprising<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOrganized cadres had long been active in abusing the environment of discontent and possible protests inside Iran. November 2019 prepared the ground for [these cadres] to enter the scene. In many of the [MEK] \u2018Resistance\u2019 and \u2018Protest\u2019 units, notable people were present,\u201d Resalat wrote, referring to the role of the MEK\u2019s Resistance Units<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the November uprising, many of the regime\u2019s centers of oppression were destroyed by defiant youth. \u201cDestruction reached one of the highest levels in three decades in small towns and suburbs [across Iran],\u201d Resalat wrote.<\/p>\n

Calling people\u2019s uprising \u201csedition,\u201d Resalat wrote: \u201cThe November sedition was not extinguished at the same point. It was the beginning of a series of wider riots and the eventual disabling of the security, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies to create deep instability and insecurity inside Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt can be said that November [uprising] provided one of the main grounds for the assassination of Haj Qassem Soleimani<\/a> [IRGC Quds Force<\/a> Commander] and Abu Mehdi Al-Mohandas in Iraq, in January,\u201d Resalat wrote.<\/p>\n

Warning the regime of a popular uprising, Resalat wrote: \u201cIt seems that soon, the enemies will seek to carry out parts of the conspiracy. Therefore, along with vigilance and confrontation with internal and external seditions, [the regime\u2019s officials] should consider raising public awareness.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NCRI\u2019s<\/a> recent revelation of the regime\u2019s nuclear activities is another issue in the regime\u2019s media. The NCRI\u2019s newest revelation on October 18 was a major blow to the regime.<\/p>\n

\"Madom_salari_28102020\"In this regard, the state-run Mardom Salari daily on Tuesday wrote<\/a>: \u201cSimultaneous with [Mohammad Javad] Zarif\u2019s trip to Moscow and meeting with [Sergey] Lavrov and Lavrov\u2019s extensive contacts with Berlin, Paris, and London had prepared the ground for this heavy line-up [against the U.S.], in the most critical moments that this line-up was about to take shape, the MEK put its allegations on the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NCRI had revealed<\/a>: \u201cNew information received from sources within the Iranian regime reveals that a new center has been built to continue its work for weaponization of the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear program<\/a>. Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research (Sazman-e Pazhouheshhaye Novin-e Defa\u2019i), known by its Persian acronym SPND, is the institution within the Ministry of Defense pursuing this project. The IRGC heavily controls the Ministry of Defense.\u201d<\/p>\n
