The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 42,941, nearly a fourth of the actual figure. \u201cThere are various remarks regarding the stats. Some increase in numbers could be due to chronic illnesses, including heart disease. However, people can get the numbers from the cemeteries and maybe on some days that the numbers are high, the general number of deaths, and suspected and possible daily Covid-19 deaths could reach four digits,\u201d said the spokesperson for the regime\u2019s Health Ministry on Wednesday. State Forces Fatally Shoot Kurd Man in West Iran A Kurdish man was arbitrarily shot dead by the State Security forces in a Kurdish village on Tuesday night, November 17. The victim was Saadi Rostamzadeh from Uraman Takht village in the Iranian Kurdistan Province, western Iran. Security forces were engaged in hit and run battles with Kurdish retailers and businessmen when they opened fire on unarmed citizens. As a result of this brutality, Saadi Rostamzadeh was shot and killed in front of his own shop. Saadi Rostamzadeh was reportedly not involved in the case of retailers and businessmen, but he was hit during indiscriminate shooting by security forces on unarmed civilians. He lost his life because of severe injuries as he was being taken to a clinic in Marivan. Shocking Deaths of 6 Students Prompt Ban on Suicide Reports in Southwest Iran The Department of Islamic Culture and Guidance in the city of Ramhormoz issued a directive banning reporters and journalists in this city from covering news of suicides. The measure comes in the wake of suicides of six high school students in Ramhormoz, in Iran\u2019s Khuzestan Province in a short period of time. After a 15-year-old student took his own life in Ramhormoz, it was reported that another five students in this city had done the same earlier. The website Asr-e Jonoub reported that the Governorate and the Health Network of the city of Ramhormoz had written to the Department of Islamic Culture and Guidance, tasked with censorship under the clerical regime, instructing the agency to formally ban all reporters from reporting on suicides in this city.
