They confiscated Ms. Jafari-Mehr\u2019s personal belongings including her laptop, smartphone, and some of her books. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 45,738, nearly a fourth of the actual figure. The Basij centers played a significant role in suppressing widespread protests and uprisings. The people of the region have widely welcomed the actions of the defiant youths.
