\u00a0NCRI –\u00a0Iranian regime\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Wednesday lashed out at President Hassan Rouhani for accepting the terms of the UNESCO 2030 Agenda agreement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact that some people say this agreement is not binding is na\u00efve. All aspects of this agreement are binding and if due action is not taken they will take action against us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a very important issue, for some people to sit in the United Nations and establish an intellectual, cultural, scientific and practical system for all nations, to have the entire world think as they wish,\u201d Khamenei added.<\/p>\n
The UNESCO 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development agreement, known as the 2030 Agenda, oversees issues such as guaranteeing equal and comprehensive education, environment, gender equality and equal social opportunities for men and women, human rights, ending segregation of minorities, and encouraging peace and non-violence.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been years since we have proposed the Iranian Islamic advances example. This proposal must be perfected by our college professors and prevent Westerners from suggesting examples for our country,\u201d Khamenei emphasized.<\/p>\n
Iran\u2019s High Council of Islamic Revolution on June 13th set aside discussing the 2030 Agenda from its subjects.<\/p>\n
During last month\u2019s presidential campaign Rouhani accused his rivals of providing \u201cfalse reports\u201d to Khamenei over the 2030 Agenda.<\/p>\n
Khamenei responded emphasizing he had in fact received correct reports.<\/p>\n
The controversy over the 2030 Agenda has escalated in Iran after Rouhani placed a post on his Instagram page indicating that last September this document was in fact provided to Khamenei\u2019s office, the parliament, judiciary, the General Inspectors Office and other state entities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
