These protests are due to the regime\u2019s economic mismanagement, which has put immense pressure on all Iranian people.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers of fuel tankers who had been on strike for ten days continued their strike on Saturday, December 5, in the cities of Arak and Kermanshah, and other cities and terminals. The drivers, who often transport fuel to Iraq, have gone on strike to protest low fares and demand higher fares.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_230808\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-230808\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Drivers-on-strike-09102020\" class=\"size-full wp-image-230808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Drivers-on-strike-09102020.jpg\" alt=\"Iran - Drivers of fuel tankers on strike \" width=\"1000\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Drivers-on-strike-09102020.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Drivers-on-strike-09102020-300x102.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Drivers-on-strike-09102020-768x261.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Drivers-on-strike-09102020-696x237.jpg 696w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-230808\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Iran &#8211; Drivers of fuel tankers on strike &#8211; December 5, 2020<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>They said: \u201cDue to the high cost of spare parts, especially wheels, as well as the current high costs of food, we cannot make a living with this amount of rent, and we will continue to strike until our demands are met.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The number of striking tankers is more than 500 at the border of Marivan, Bashmaq terminal, Qasr Shirin city, Parviz Khan terminal, southwest Iran, and in Arak\u2019s cities, Hamedan, and Kermanshah.<\/p>\n<p>On December 5, a group of workers of the Yasuj Freight and Passenger Transportation Organization in southwest Iran gathered to protest the non-payment of their wages.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are fifty workers under the supervision of Yasuj Central Municipality. People must grapple with both the Covid-19 outbreak and poverty.<\/p>\n<p>All the while, Reuters recently <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/investigates\/special-report\/iraq-iran-shrines\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revealed<\/a> the regime is spending $600 million to expand the holy shrine of Imam Hussain in Iraq. This action is not due to the mullahs\u2019 religious sentiments; rather, it is meant at expanding the regime\u2019s ominous influence in Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>The regime prioritizes the export of terrorism over people\u2019s wellbeing.
