NCRI – In a reaction to the extension of the European Union sanctions against Iran regime, the state-run Keyhan daily affiliated to Khamenei wrote: \u201cThe EU sanctions came to Tehran sooner than the Javad Zarif ( Iranian regime\u2019s minister of foreign affairs) .<\/p>\n
Keyhan daily tried to slam the rival faction (i.e. Rouhani\u2019s faction) using the sanctions imposed on the regime wrote: \u201cOn Friday, while Zarif was in Europe meeting with the leaders of Germany, Italy and France, the European Union announced a new list of sanctions of the individuals and entities involved in nuclear and missile activities in Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cZarif described the meetings with the leaders of these countries including Germany and France which are member of P5+1as being at an appropriate level. He wrote in his twitter after his periodic trip to Europe: \u201cI had great meetings with leaders in Berlin, Rome and Paris. Despite the frivolous hostility of the United States, the European Union is committed to JCPOA and constructive engagement,\u201d Keyhan added.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut the ink of this delicate appreciation of the European Union because of what he calls cooperating with JCPOA was not dried up, and the plane carrying the Foreign Minister had not reached Tehran, the European Union published its new sanctions against the regime and made Zarif stand up to this serious question that what was the outcome of his visit to the European Union, which has been accompanied by sanctions of the regime\u2019s first class figures such as Qassem Suleimani, and that comes from the EU that he considers adhere to JCPOA and alongside Iran!\u201d Keyhan wrote.<\/p>\n
Khamenei\u2019s Keyhan daily in another part wrote: \u201cOn the other hand, the U.S. Secretary of Treasury on the same day in a meeting in White House announced that previously we have imposed sanctions against Iran and now we impose more sanctions for its ballistic missiles and other programs. Steven Mnuchin emphasized that they continue to use the leverage of sanctions and said: Regardless of any law passed by the Congress, I assure you that this government and the Treasury Department will use the tool of sanction to the maximum possible according to the law.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
