Security forces, however, ran over the protesters by their cars. As a result of this savage attack, a Baluchi woman by the name of Khadijeh Dahani was wounded. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 52,448, less than a third of the actual figure. \u201cThe increasing number of Covid-19 deaths indicates we are vulnerable in the face of the novel coronavirus,\u201d said the spokesperson for the regime\u2019s Health Ministry on Monday, according to the regime&#039;s official IRNA news agency. \u201cOne of the main severe shortages we are facing is in the number of nurses. We do not even have one nurse for each hospital bed while the global standard is 2.5 nurses for each bed. Even in developing countries, this number is higher than two,\u201d said the head of Iran\u2019s Supreme Nursing Council on Monday. \u201cIf we have 130,000 active nurses, we need to recruit another 130,000,\u201d the official added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency. Incarcerated Elite Students Under Pressure to Make Forced Confessions Ali Younesi, Amir Hossein Moradi under pressure to make forced confessions. Younesi and Moradi are still detained in the Intelligence Ministry Ward 209 of Evin Prison in a bid to force them into making confessions against themselves. Both young men are under torture and have been brought under added pressure to make false confessions. Eight months since their arrest, the two elite students are under the pressure of the Intelligence Ministry to express remorse and appear on television. Amir Hossein Moradi is a silver medal winner of the National Astronomy Olympiad 2017. Ali Younesi is a silver medal winner of the National Astronomy Olympiad in 2016, and gold medal winner in the 2017 Olympiad. Agents of the Intelligence Ministry arrested them on April 10, without presenting a judicial warrant. Female Political Prisoner Violently Transferred To Another Prison Political prisoner Golrokh Iraee has been violently removed from Qarchak Prison and taken by force to the IRGC Intelligence Ward 2A in Evin Prison. Prison guards brutalized her by stun guns on Sunday. Ms. Iraee had previously refused to go to Ward 2A when she was first summoned on December 7 by the IRGC Intelligence. She said her summon was illegal since she was serving her sentence in Qarchak Prison. Ms. Iraee was first imprisoned in Evin on October 16, 2015, for writing an unpublished book against stoning.
