NCRI – The Iranian regime\u2019s Chief of the General command of the Armed Forces expressed his fear of the sanctions and blacklisting the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) as a terrorist entity and resorted to empty threats against the U.S. forces in the region.<\/p>\n
At a meeting of the IRGC Ground Forces Commanders in Tehran on Monday, July 17, 2017, Pasdar General Mohammad Bagheri claimed that global and regional powers plan to bring the threat to Iran and, mutually, Iran’s military presence abroad, including in Syria, has led “the scene of the battle to be transferred to remote areas and an exemplary security\u201d prevail in the country.<\/p>\n
In part of his statements, the Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces implicitly threatened the United States and said the sanctions by this country against the IRGC and placing it on the list of terrorist organizations includes \u201cgreat risk for the U.S. and its bases and forces\u201d in the region.<\/p>\n
Pasdar Bagheri also claimed that the IRGC\u2019s missiles program \u201cis not negotiable or tradable\u201d and the new U.S. sanctions against the IRGC are an opportunity for the growth and self-sufficiency of \u201cthe indigenous and domestic capacities of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
In separate statements, speaking among some IRGC commanders, Pasdar General Yahya Rahim Safavi, senior advisor of Ali Khamenei on military affairs, acknowledged Iranian regime\u2019s interference in Syria and claimed the collation of Iran, Syria, Russia, and Hezbollah of Lebanon has achieved victory and the Islamic Republic of Iran “has become a regional power.\u201d<\/p>\n
He called on the government of Hassan Rouhani to pay the cost of the deployment of the Revolutionary Guard’s ground forces on the eastern borders of the country, since, according to the of Rahim Safavi\u2019s admission, without these forces, security is not provided throughout the country, especially in the provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan and Khorasan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
