These actions by the military and security forces, especially those serving on a 24 hours daily basis, should be commended.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also called on the regime&#8217;s military prosecutor in the province of Kurdistan to thank and honour them instead of summoning them for killing two porters from the city of Baneh.<\/p>\n<p>Ghazipour called \u201cthugs\u201d the protesting citizens in Baneh and other cities in western Iran who are demonstrating in support of the porters, and said: \u201cWe should not allow some thugs to pressure the military forces and create chaos in the city by shutting down shops.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, 5 September 2017, people of Baneh closed the markets and <a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/iran-protests\/23493-iran-uprising-and-general-strike-of-the-people-of-baneh-in-protest-at-the-killing-of-porters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gathered<\/a> in front of the governor&#8217;s office to protest the killing of two porters by direct shooting of military forces. <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/human-rights\/23487-iran-protest-and-clashes-erupts-in-western-city-over-killing-of-porters-by-irgc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">This protest gathering<\/a> was drawn to violence following the intervention by Special Guard Forces, and according to eyewitnesses, the Special Forces clashed with the protesters and tried to disperse them by using tear gas.<\/p>\n<p>In this demonstration, dozens of people were injured and arrested.<\/p>\n<p>After the protest gathering of citizens in Baneh, a wave of <a href=\"https:\/\/ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/23501-iran-people-in-western-provinces-continue-to-stage-protest-gatherings-against-killing-of-porters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">protests spread<\/a> on the streets of other cities of Kurdistan and civil institutions and internal and Kurdish personalities.
