The Iranian regime will hold its sham presidential elections in June. Thus, the regime’s infightings have intensified amid the mullahs’ international and domestic crises. Since the mullahs’ sham parliamentary elections were boycotted, now both factions warn one another of the presidential elections’ same fate and a possible uprising.<\/p>\n

After 40 years of oppression, export of terrorism, and rampant poverty due to the regime’s mismanagement, the regime cannot quell society through bogus claims of moderation or reform.<\/p>\n

During the major Iran protests in 2018<\/a> and 2019<\/a>, people chanted “reformists, hardliners, the game is over,” rejecting both factions and calling for regime change. They once again demonstrated their desire for regime change by boycotting the regime’s sham parliamentary elections in February 2020.<\/p>\n

The regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, needs to hold the upcoming sham elections with a large turnout to legitimize his regime amid its international isolation, after killing 1500 protesters<\/a> during the November uprising, the coronavirus outbreak, and the current economic crisis.<\/p>\n
