Simultaneously, the regime has increased its terrorist activities, particularly through its proxy groups in Iraq, firing rocket at the United States Embassy. Why would the regime take these actions, while they would increase both the society\u2019s restiveness and mullahs\u2019 international isolation?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Iranian regime is facing a restive society. As Iranians grapple with poverty, they find the regime as the only source to their social and economic hardships. Gradually this disorder and chaos [uprising] will pervade all social classes,\u201d Mardom Salari <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mardomsalari.ir\/newspaper\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cThe effects of inflation in every aspect and perspective destroy the lives of the low-income and middle classes of society,\u201d wrote the state-run Iran daily on February 15, adding that \u201cthis trend strongly leads the society towards polarization, the far-reaching consequences of which, such as increased insecurity and unrest, will affect all members of society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stats.sender.net\/forms\/dGYVLa\/view\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-219239 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1.png\" alt=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" width=\"250\" height=\"83\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In such a situation, the regime finds increasing human rights violations and export of terrorism to be its lifejacket and only way to survive. Thus, the executions in Iran and the regime\u2019s recent terrorist activities or nuclear extortion campaign are the flipside of the human rights violations in Iran.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The regime has pursued a policy of extortion through terrorist activities in the region, and on the other hand, by violating its obligations under the 2015 nuclear agreement with world powers. The goal of this policy is to force the United States and Western countries to give concessions to the regime and lift sanctions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The way to counter the regime&#8217;s extortion policy is for the international community to adopt a firm regional policy and to condemn internal repression.
