It seems, from his silence on the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/terrorism-a-fundamentalism\/guilty-verdict-for-iran-regimes-terrorist-isnt-enough-to-eliminate-threats-to-europe\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Assadollah Assadi<\/a> affair, that Mr Borrell is intent on business-as-usual with the criminal Iranian regime. Now he has even invited one of the Godfathers of terror, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-world\/26715-a-look-at-the-record-of-iran-regime-foreign-minister-javad-zarif\" rel=\"noopener\">Javad Zarif<\/a>, the Iranian foreign minister, to participate in the Europe-Iran business forum that he has organised to take place from 1-3 March. Borrell has even kindly agreed that the EU should pay for this business-as-usual forum.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We heard during the Assadi trial in Antwerp that the former Iranian diplomat also faces further terrorist charges in Germany. When he was arrested in Bavaria by German police, they found a notebook in his car which contained details of the bomb plot and the money paid to his co-conspirators. It also contained information about 289 visits Assadi had made to different countries, 144 of which were to meetings in Germany, indicating that Assadi was supervising terrorist activities across the EU and Germany was clearly the epicentre of his spy network. There are undoubtedly bomb attacks and assassinations being planned by spy-cells across Europe right now, supervised and directed from Tehran. Three accomplices, agents of the Iranian intelligence ministry were respectively sentenced to 18, 17, and 15 years in prison and were stripped of their Belgian citizenship. The judge stipulated that the bomb was manufactured in Iran and was carried to Europe in a diplomatic suitcase. They had been instructed to place the bomb as close as possible to Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. Assadi who was under police watch, delivered the bomb to one of the agents in Luxemburg and was arrested in Germany on his way back to Austria. He was then extradited to Belgium for trial. Simultaneous with the declaration of the court ruling, a virtual conference was held with participants joining in from more than 3,000 places across the world including MEK members in Ashraf, Albania. In her speech at the conference, Mrs. Rajavi said, \u201cToday\u2019s conviction of the Iranian regime\u2019s diplomat-terrorist confirms the Iranian regime\u2019s state terrorism by a European judicial authority. \u201c She made key policy recommendations to European leaders:\u201dRecall their ambassadors from Tehran and shut down the regime\u2019s embassies and centers in Europe which are used for terrorism. The Ministry of Intelligence and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards must be designated as terrorist entities. All their agents must be prosecuted and expelled from Europe. Tom Ridge former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security said: The planned bombing was a state sponsored operation by a terrorist state that continues to operate with arrogance with impunity, with disdain for human race and common decency, basic norms with civil society, \u2026 But rhetorical condemnation without further action, will be of little impact on this rogue regime, which heretofore has been totally unwilling to change its behavior. countries whose citizens were in harm&#039;s way, in the July event should consider downgrading, seriously, considering downgrading diplomatic relationships with Iran Patrick Kennedy: \u201cIt&#039;s time to call Iran for what it is: a terrorist state. It&#039;s time to expel their diplomats. It&#039;s time that we have a new Iran, that we support the NCRI, we support the 10-point plan of Madam Rajavi,\u201d A number of dignitaries from Albania also participated, including Mr. Pandeli Majko, state minister for Albanian diaspora. Giulio Terzi, the former foreign minister of Italy said: \u201cEurope\u2019s lack of proper action has emboldened Iran\u2019s regime in its terrorist activities, giving them the impression that they will not be held accountable.\u201d Former United States National Security Advisor James Jones underlined that \u201cwe should stand with the Iranian people and their desire for regime change by supporting the democratic alternative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran and its president-elect, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.\u201d Stephen Harper, former Prime Minister of Canada said: \u201cThis is what the Islamic Republic in Tehran, the world&#039;s largest state sponsor of terrorism does.\u201d On the same day\u2019s evening, a virtual conference was also held in the United States by the Washington office of the NCRI. Maybe next time the EU intelligence services will not be so lucky and Zarif\u2019s diplomat will be able to launch a deadly attack. Will Mr Borrell attend the funerals of the men, women and children killed and console their families and friends? Will he visit those maimed and disabled in hospital?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Maybe Mr Borrell wants European companies to help Iran in its clandestine programme to produce a nuclear weapon and the ballistic missiles capable of delivering such a device? Or maybe he wants to see EU companies delivering more truck-mounted cranes to the Iranian regime, so that they can accelerate the public hangings that have catapulted them to top of the world\u2019s capital punishment list of executioners?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The news this week of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-protest\/saravan-uprising-no-2-general-strike-in-saravan-clashes-between-the-people-revolutionary-guards-continue\/\" rel=\"noopener\">serious protests<\/a> that have taken place in the city of Saravan, in one of the most deprived provinces in Iran, Sistan &amp; Baluchestan on the border with Pakistan, should have shaken Mr Borrell to the core. Using truck-mounted machine guns, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/inside-irans-army-of-terror-and-oppression-revolutionary-guards-irgc\/\" rel=\"noopener\">IRGC<\/a>) and border guards have shot dead more than 40 unarmed protesters and critically injured over 100. The city is ablaze. One would have thought that this news alone would have encouraged Borrell to cancel his business forum. But he remains silent. He appears determined to move the EU one stage further than appeasement. Initial amateur video footage showed the family and relatives of the killed and wounded residents gathered outside the Saravan Governor\u2019s Office. Other videos showed the locals storming the building breaking the windows and the doors. Reports said that officials fled the Office. The footage showed upturned tables and broken chairs and shards of glass littering the floor of the Office. Locals also blocked the road leading to an IRGC Base with burning tires. Other footage showed a burning police car torched by the protesters. Clashes ensued between locals and security forces. Instead of a 3-day business forum with the Iranian regime, why not hold a 3-day conference to highlight the oppression, rampant human rights abuse and escalating number of executions taking place inside Iran. Why not hold a 3-day conference to discuss the mullahs\u2019 aggressive warmongering in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon? Why not hold a 3-day discussion on the massacre of over <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/1988-massacre-of-political-prisoners-in-iran\/\" rel=\"noopener\">30,000 political prisoners<\/a> in Iran in 1988, now the subject of a UN special inquiry? Why not discuss the 1,500 unarmed protesters who were <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/iran-protests\/27081-over-1-500-killed-in-the-iranian-people-s-nationwide-uprising-names-of-504-martyrs-released\" rel=\"noopener\">gunned down<\/a> by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/inside-irans-army-of-terror-and-oppression-revolutionary-guards-irgc\/\" rel=\"noopener\">IRGC<\/a>), the regime\u2019s Gestapo, in the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-november-2019-uprising-and-its-amplifications\/\" rel=\"noopener\">nationwide uprising<\/a> which erupted in every town and city in Iran in 2019?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If Mr Borrell allows this business forum to go ahead, he will be sending the clearest possible signal to the fascist regime in Tehran that as far as Europe is concerned, trade matters more than human rights. Terrorism and brutality can be ignored, so long as EU businesses can make money. EU jobs mean more than Iranian lives. This is a tragedy and a complete surrender to the most criminal regime in the world today. No EU business should even consider trading with this fascist regime. Ronald Reagan famously said \u201cIf history teaches us anything, it teaches that simple-minded appeasement or wishful thinking about our adversaries is folly.
