Protests soon spread across the province, with angry protesters targeting the regime\u2019s centers of oppression, showing the regime has failed in controlling the restive society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Youth in the Sarjangal neighborhood near Zahedan, capital of Sistan and Baluchistan province, stormed and captured a Revolutionary Guards (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/inside-irans-army-of-terror-and-oppression-revolutionary-guards-irgc\/\" rel=\"noopener\">IRGC<\/a>) base despite the IRGC opening fire on the crowd.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">According to reports obtained by the Iranian Resistance, the regime sent military convoys to Sistan and Baluchistan. People in response created roadblocks and frustrated the oppressive forces. Small business owners in cities of Zahedan and Iranshahr went on strike in solidarity with arisen people across the province.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On February 27, rebellious youths set fire to Ashar district offices, 60 km from Sarbaz city. At the same time, protesters blocked the Panjshir-Mirjavah axis and the Chabahar-Kanarak transit axis to prevent the deployment of additional reinforcements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Protesters in Zahedan closed the streets in \u201cKhomeini square\u201d at the city entrance on Friday night. Initial amateur video footage showed the family and relatives of the killed and wounded residents gathered outside the Saravan Governor\u2019s Office. Other videos showed the locals storming the building breaking the windows and the doors. Reports said that officials fled the Office. The footage showed upturned tables and broken chairs and shards of glass littering the floor of the Office. Locals also blocked the road leading to an IRGC Base with burning tires. Other footage showed a burning police car torched by the protesters. Clashes ensued between locals and security forces. Security forces shot tear gas and bullets at protesters on the streets of Saravan. https:\/\/irannewswire.org\/angry-locals-storm-governors-office-after-irgc-kill-residents-in-se-iran\/\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:853px;margin:5px;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The regime has opened fire on protesters, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-protest\/saravan-uprising-no-2-general-strike-in-saravan-clashes-between-the-people-revolutionary-guards-continue\/\" rel=\"noopener\">killing dozens<\/a> of them. Protests in Sistan and Baluchistan have terrified the regime, reminding them of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-november-2019-uprising-and-its-amplifications\/\" rel=\"noopener\">major Iran protests<\/a> in November 2019 which rattled the regime to the core.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">While trying to undermine people\u2019s justified anger of the regime\u2019s oppressive measures, Ahmad Ali Mohebati, Sistan and Baluchistan\u2019s governor, warned the regime\u2019s officials:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cWe are now in an atmosphere where rationality does not prevail, but emotions and excitement prevail [i.e., people\u2019s hatred toward the regime], we must be vigilant. If something unpleasant happens, the dry or wet, hardliner or reformist and all officials will burn together,\u201d he said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The recent uprising in Sistan and Baluchistan has several characteristics:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">These protests showed the Iranian society\u2019s explosive state and how a spark could trigger protests.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Protests rapidly spread across the province.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">The uprising received wide social support from the Iranian people, with small businesses going on strike in solidarity with the uprising.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">The uprising also showed that despite its hollow power exhibition, the regime\u2019s local oppressive forces are not able to control the situation. Thus, the regime has to send forces from other cities, showing the regime\u2019s force mobilization crisis in facing a nationwide uprising.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In a nutshell, the ongoing protests in Sistan and Baluchistan foretell an inevitable uprising in Iran which will succeed to end the mullahs\u2019 42 years of oppression.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stats.sender.net\/forms\/dGYVLa\/view\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-219239 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1.png\" alt=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" width=\"250\" height=\"83\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Protests erupted in Saravan in Sistan and Baluchistan province, southeast Iran, after the regime&rsquo;s forces opened fired on a group of deprived fuel porters, killing and injuring dozens.
