Yet, in Iran under the mullahs\u2019 regime, that is not the case. As part of their inhumane Covid-19 policy, the mullahs\u2019 regime has refused to accelerate the vaccination process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Meanwhile, according to the Statista website, there have been around 10 million people vaccinated in Iran\u2019s neighboring countries, such as Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, and other countries like Morocco and Serbia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Yet, as \u201cthe <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-human-rights\/iran-coronavirus-death-toll-in-497-cities-surpasses-225400\/\" rel=\"noopener\">coronavirus waves<\/a> are raging\u201d in Iran, according to Mohammad Reza Zali, head of Tehran\u2019s National Covid-19 Combat Task Force, there is no news of vaccination in Iran, and the regime\u2019s authorities are not showing they are in rush.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This is while, according to the spokesperson of the regime\u2019s Health Ministry on February 20, Covid-19 and its new deadlier variants are \u201crapidly spreading.\u201d Yet, according to the state-run Arman daily on Wednesday: \u201cWhile global vaccination has been effective in the world despite the presence of the Covid-19 new variants.\u201d Yet, as the Mostaghel daily wrote on Tuesday, the regime \u201cis in no hurry to carry out vaccination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The regime, which tries to cover up its inhumane Covid-19 policy, uses its state TV to \u201cproduce programs against the global vaccination and [verified] vaccines such as Pfizer and Moderna. The coronavirus illness has been a test for all governments. The mullahs have shown that not only are they indifferent to the health of the people, but even worse, they see this deadly virus as a \u201cblessing\u201d and an \u201copportunity\u201d to extend their rule, to the point that each day the death toll rises in Iran, surpassing the 200,000 thresholds. From the outset when the virus reached Iran, unlike other governments, Iran\u2019s regime failed to adopt standard procedures such as issuing an urgent alert, imposing quarantine measures, providing for the people\u2019s necessary provisions during quarantine, and increasing medical facilities to control the disease. Instead, its policy was to minimize the threat and cover up the realities. After 200,000 deaths, public demand for a viable vaccine is growing louder each day. Yet, there are no signs that the authorities are dedicating a budget or adequately administrating the situation or even preparing the necessary resources. The regime\u2019s leaders resort to any excuse to justify their inaction, and officials even lay the blame on various obstacles in the way of purchasing and importing vaccines. As in the case of Covid-19, they have turned its vaccine into a political issue as well, which will only result in a rising death toll. \u201cThe root of all the problems is the White House!\u201d said Hassan Rouhani on December 9, 2020. Abdolnaser Hemmati, head of Iran\u2019s Central Bank, also claimed on December 7 that U.S. sanctions do not permit the transfer of funds or the purchase of the vaccine through COVAX! Meanwhile, COVAX, the organization endorsed by the World Health Organization to distribute the vaccine, immediately responded that there was no \u201clegal barrier\u201d before Iran procuring vaccines through COVAX as the U.S. Treasury\u2019s Office on Foreign Assets Control had issued a license covering coronavirus vaccine procurement. Iran\u2019s state-controlled Aftab-e Yazd daily wrote on December 14: \u201cRegarding the coronavirus vaccine, officials have said that it is not possible to import foreign vaccines, but we are witnessing that vaccines have been imported from reliable countries and are being used by officials, along with their children and associates.\u201d It is thus clear that the problem lies not in sanctions, the US or bank transfers. In reality, importing vaccines from trusted international companies would eliminate the huge profit that could otherwise be made by pharmaceutical cartels that are essentially run by the Revolutionary Guards. Thus, Iranian regime officials are hyping up a so-called \u2018domestic vaccine\u2019 and are willing to pay its price with the lives of the Iranian people even if the mullahs\u2019 policies cause the death toll to climb beyond the 200,000 mark. Thus, it is crystal clear that bogus claims such as \u2018sanctions\u2019, \u2018US restrictions\u2019 and \u2018restrictions on wire transfers\u2019 are simply excuses to not import credible COVID-19 vaccines to vaccinate Iran\u2019s general public. They pave the path to sacrifice the Iranian people and crossing the 200,000 deaths threshold. All of this is so that the potential for profit by the Revolutionary Guards pharmaceutical mafia does not disappear. In reality, Khamenei and Rouhani do not want to provide a vaccine, unless they are forced to under pressure by the people. For ten months the regime benefitted from the coronavirus to delay an uprising. Now the mullahs\u2019 mafia are using its vaccine to make sure that the people\u2019s attention and energy is not diverted from the coronavirus. The exponential rise in the death toll, which has surpassed 200,000, indicates that this crisis will continue. If the regime genuinely wanted to control the virus, it would have supported the nation financially like other countries so that people would remain under quarantine without concerns over how to provide food for their families. All the facts and the last ten months of the coronavirus in Iran indicate that the mullahs\u2019 regime neither wants to nor can bring the virus under control. Since Khamenei\u2019s number one priority is preserving his regime, he will use the nation\u2019s resources on nothing other than their nuclear weapons initiatives, exporting terrorism, and funding his suppressive forces to counter any uprising. In one word, he seeks only to maintain his detested religious dictatorship intact. Therefore, the only solution for ridding Iran of the coronavirus is to rid Iran of the mullahs\u2019 regime. Officials, who during the past year, have only made contradictory remarks,\u201d read the Arman daily\u2019s article on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">While the regime\u2019s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, explicitly banned the import of certified vaccines, in what Amnesty International called a denial of Iranians\u2019 \u201cright to life,\u201d which is a crime against humanity, other regime officials try to deceive the public by making contradictory remarks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cThe effects of vaccines are still not clear to us, they are ambiguous,\u201d Rouhani claimed on February 27. While countries are racing each other in vaccination he bogusly claimed: \u201cMany people around the world avoid vaccines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Meanwhile, the regime\u2019s officials bragged about the vaccination of 50,000 people with the so-called domestic vaccine. But, seemingly, this is the third phase of the human experiment of a Cuban vaccine, that the regime and Cuba agreed to carry out in Iran.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The question now is whether these 50,000 people know that they are subjects to an experiment. If not, this is another crime against humanity and the international community should investigate it.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stats.sender.net\/forms\/dGYVLa\/view\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-219239 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1.png\" alt=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" width=\"250\" height=\"83\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\">Why does the regime not carry out vaccination?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Iran\u2019s vaccination crisis has no technical difficulties. The regime tries to blame sanctions, but that is not true, since Khamenei banned the import of certified vaccines. In addition, medications are not sanctioned.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The regime intends to continue its inhumane Covid-19 policy. The November 2019 <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-november-2019-uprising-and-its-amplifications\/\" rel=\"noopener\">uprising<\/a> rattled the regime\u2019s foundation. People stormed the centers of oppression and called for regime change. This uprising changed the domestic and international balance of power, with the international community hearing Iranian people\u2019s voices calling for regime change, and that people do not want this regime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Khamenei and his regime were able to momentarily oppress the uprising by killing <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/iran-protests\/27081-over-1-500-killed-in-the-iranian-people-s-nationwide-uprising-names-of-504-martyrs-released\" rel=\"noopener\">1500 protesters<\/a>. The unresolved economic and social crises and the regime\u2019s 40 years of oppression has turned the society into a powder keg. Signs of another uprising were extraordinarily strong by the beginning of 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Then the Covid-19 arrived in Iran. The regime embraced it. Khamenei called this deadly virus a \u201cblessing,\u201d and the regime sent people to the Covid-19 minefields through systematic inaction, delay in announcing the virus\u2019s arrival, and downplaying the crisis.<br \/>\n\u201cThe officials act in a way that they are missing the high Covid-19 mortality and infection rate. They do not expect to see the decreasing trend of casualties,\u201d wrote the state-run Hamdeli on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Yet, the regime\u2019s inhumane Covid-19 policy has increased people\u2019s hatred toward the regime. As the state-run Jomhuri-e Eslami daily wrote on January 26, \u201c[We] should fear the day when people\u2019s patience ends, and they overrun [the regime].\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-protest\/saravan-uprising-no-1-people-of-saravan-stage-uprising-take-over-the-governors-office\/\" rel=\"noopener\">recent uprising<\/a> in Sistan and Baluchestan and daily protests in Iran by all walks of life despite the Covid-19 outbreak show the regime\u2019s strategy has already failed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since the beginning of 2021, the global vaccination process has accelerated to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
