He was transferred from youth section to ward 5 of the prison, and was beaten by the prison authorities after protesting the lack of bed to sleep because of the high number of prisoners and crowded prison.<\/p>\n<p>Prison authorities have told the inmates that when the prisoner was returned to the ward, no one was allowed to give him a place to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the authorities in the central prison of Ardabil have repeatedly chained protesting detainees to iron bars or flagpoles in cold weather.<\/p>\n<p>The prisoners Afshin Zeinali, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/human-rights\/22209-iran-authorities-suffer-inmate-to-death-in-ardebil-prison\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Abbas Alipour and Mohammad Saber Malek Reisi<\/a>, were also chained a while ago with handcuffs and shackles to the bars in the courtyard of the Ardebil prison.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Saber Malek Raisi, a Baluch political prisoner, pointed out in a letter earlier that he was taken to Ardebil prison\u2019s courtyard with handcuff and shackles and chained to flagpole in cold weather for 14 hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCRI Staff NCRI &ndash;&nbsp;A prisoner who objected lack of a bed to sleep on in the prison was taken to the prison yard by Ardebil prison authorities and chained to the flagpole in cold weather after beating and mayhem.
