Their family members filed a judicial complaint and pressed charges of rape against the perpetrator.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Yet, the regime&#8217;s prosecutor rejected charges and claimed that the forensics report had denied any signs of rape. He added that the security guard had been summoned and charged with &#8220;kidnapping.&#8221; Following the prosecutors&#8217; remarks, locals in Arab Sharank village held a protest. In response, the regime&#8217;s State Security Forces (SSF) tried to oppress protesters. People clashed with SSF forces and broke car windows of SSF forces. The regime has dispatched anti-riot units to oppress locals.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">March 23 &#8211; Gonbad Kavus, northeast <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a><br \/>Angry locals took to the streets and clashed with State Security Forces after a judge cleared a security from charges of raping two small kids.<br \/>The parents and locals were protesting this decision.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IranProtests?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IranProtests<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xdOSSkHp4e\">pic.twitter.com\/xdOSSkHp4e<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; People&#39;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK) (@Mojahedineng) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mojahedineng\/status\/1374459088910708738?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 23, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">These protests come almost a month after the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-iran-protest\/saravan-uprising-no-1-people-of-saravan-stage-uprising-take-over-the-governors-office\/\" rel=\"noopener\">uprising<\/a> in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeast Iran, after the regime&#8217;s security forces killed impoverished fuel porters. In addition to the uprising in Sistan and Baluchestan, all walks of life in Iran hold protests daily.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The regime has not been able to quell society, and there have hundreds of social protests throughout 2020. The regime has increased its oppressive measures due to its fear of society&#8217;s restiveness. There have been at least 80 executions since the beginning of 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On Wednesday, the regime&#8217;s Judiciary Chief, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/publications\/special-reports\/iran-who-is-ebrahim-raisi\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Ebrahim Raisi<\/a>, threatened the public. &#8220;No insecurity in society is tolerable; the police and security officials should let disruptors act,&#8221; he said according to the state-run TV. These remarks are not unexpected from a person who is one of the main perpetrators of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/1988-massacre-of-political-prisoners-in-iran\/\" rel=\"noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a> of 30,000 political prisoners.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stats.sender.net\/forms\/dGYVLa\/view\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-219239 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1.png\" alt=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" width=\"250\" height=\"83\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In addition to Raisi, the regime&#8217;s SSF force and police <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/irans-regime-took-oppressive-measures-in-persian-new-year\/\" rel=\"noopener\">held a maneuver<\/a> on the Eve of the Persian New Year of 1400 in Tehran.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;Coinciding with the last day of [Persian New Year of] 1399, the Tehran Police held a military maneuver on Saturday morning, March 21, 2021. Rather, it is a set of various structural factors that caused the rise in gasoline prices to ignite these protests,&#8221; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pishkhan.com\/news\/218467\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> the state-run Sharq daily on March 14, calling another uprising as a &#8220;vicious cycle of consequences.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;The erosion of social capital and the sharp decline in social trust is one of the consequences of the continuation of difficult economic conditions in the country, the dimensions of which are becoming more and more worrying.
