NCRI –\u00a0A Conservative organisation in the US has sent out Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests to four key agencies to uncover the truth about the 2015 nuclear deal.<\/p>\n
In this new request, the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ), is asking the State Department, the Department of the Treasury, the National Security Agency (NSA), and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to provide all of the information surrounding Iran Air\u2019s use of civilian aircraft for military and terrorist activities of Iran regime\u2019s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).<\/p>\n
In their statement, the ACLJ said: \u201cWhat they knew matters because, in the Iran Deal, they agreed to let Boeing and other plane manufacturers sell aeroplanes to Iranian airliners like Iran Air.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group also wants all records about the connection between the nuclear deal and the OFAC licenses issued to Boeing and Airbus allowing them to sell aircraft to Iran, all US government knowledge of Iran\u2019s past and future use of Iran Air jets for military purposes, and any discussions prior to the nuclear deal concerning Iran Air\u2019s military use of commercial planes.<\/p>\n
Iran\u2019s use of commercial aircraft in this way became common knowledge following Peter Roskam\u2019s (R-IL) Terror-Free Skies bill, which laid out how the Iranian Regime\u2019s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) provided support (both material and financial) to terrorist groups including Hamas, Hezbollah, and Kata\u2019ib Hezbollah, as well as to the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria, and transport arms, militias, and money to terror groups worldwide.<\/p>\n
The ACLJ wrote: \u201cShipping jihadists on commercial aircraft constitutes an outrageous pattern of behaviour. This conduct has apparently helped to fuel Bashar al-Assad\u2019s atrocities in Syria. This practice demands a thorough investigation. Photographic evidence provided to Congress shows Iran using its state-run airline, Iran Air, to ferry militants between 2016 and 2017. During this period, the Obama Administration removed sanctions on Iran Air in an apparent attempt to promote multi-billion-dollar sales between Iran and aircraft manufacturer Boeing. Going forward, this means that Iran would have more aircraft available to ferry militants not just to war-torn Syria, but to anywhere in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group was against the deal from the start and said they would keep fighting until the US \u201ccompletely withdraws\u201d from the agreement.<\/p>\n
They wrote about the flaws in the deal of many occasions (sometimes ending in federal court) including when talks between Iran and the US actually began, editing of video footage, and transporting terrorists back to Iran in the so-called prisoner swap.<\/p>\n
Their latest FOI request comes mere days after Donald Trump revealed that he would not certify the Iranian Regime as compliant with the nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and named Iran as a \u201cradical regime\u201d.<\/p>\n
He also called the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a \u201ccorrupt personal terror force and militia\u201d and urged Congress to levy sanctions against them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
