People gathered in front of the Tehran Stock Exchange<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Reports by the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK<\/a>) indicate there have been several protests across Iran by all walks of life.<\/p>\n

On Sunday<\/a>, retirees and pensioners of Iran\u2019s Social Security Organization held their third nationwide protests since the beginning of the New Persian Year in March. Pensioners have been protesting harsh living conditions and are demanding their pensions to be adjusted with the rising inflation rate and skyrocketing prices.<\/p>\n

Retirees held their protest despite the heavy presence of the regime\u2019s security forces. Retirees chanted slogans such as \u201cWe have heard too many lies, we will no longer vote,\u201d \u201cOnly by taking to the street may we obtain our rights,\u201d \u201cOur tables are empty, enough of repression,\u201d and \u201cWe will resist, until we get our rights even if we have to sacrifice our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

In this regard, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI<\/a>), said: \u201cThe nationwide protests by the dignified retirees reflect the cries of protests by all Iranians to obtain their pillaged rights by the mullahs\u2019 usurper and corrupt regime. This regime has been squandering the national wealth and the fruit of workers\u2019 labor through plunder, warmongering, nuclear and missile programs, and domestic suppression. In addition to retirees, there have been protests by other walks of life.\u201d
\nPeople who lost their life savings in the Stock Market Exchange held a protest in front of the Stock Exchange Organization on Monday.<\/p>\n
