Iran\u2019s economic and social crises have increased social hatred toward the regime. Iran\u2019s state-run media and regime officials admit these crises are due to the regime\u2019s malign schemes and corruption and warn about people\u2019s backlash.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil the last month of last year, inflation was rising. The shock therapy of the economy, which started from the beginning of 2018 until the last month of 2020, has accelerated rapidly and has drastically increased the minimum cost of living,\u201d wrote the state-run ILNA News Agency on April 16.<\/p>\n

ILNA then quotes a report by Iran\u2019s Statistic Center over the prices of goods, showing that in the last month, \u201cthe prices of goods have increased by 1.8 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTransportation costs have increased by an average of 30% in [the Persian year of] 1400. The prices of basic food items in late March have increased by 25%,\u201d ILNA adds.<\/p>\n

While many Iranians are grappling with poverty, regime officials and managers receive astronomical wages. \u201cOrganizational managers such as Social Security, which are in fact organizations owned by workers and must be paid at the level of workers\u2019 wages, have astronomical salaries of tens of millions of Tomans,\u201d ILNA wrote in this regard.<\/p>\n
