Erasing the traces of this crime against humanity has been part of the Iranian regime\u2019s deliberate policy. Previously, it had destroyed the graves of the martyrs of the 1980s and the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/iran-1988-massacre-of-political-prisoners\/history-and-background-of-1988-massacre\/\" rel=\"noopener\">1988 massacre<\/a> in many cities, including Ahvaz, Tabriz, and Mashhad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Subsequent to the call by Mrs. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/biography\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the Resistance Units and supporters of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI\/MEK) condemned the clerical regime criminal action to destroy the mass graves of the victims of the 1988 massacre in Tehran\u2019s Khavaran Cemetery, by posting placards, writing graffiti and disturbing leaflets in different cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Khorramabad, Shooshtar, Amlash (Gilan Province), Tonekabon, Neyshabur, Babol, and Iranshahr.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">They wrote, among others: \u201cKhavaran, evidence of Khomeini\u2019s crime,\u201d \u201cMaryam Rajavi: I condemn the clerical regime\u2019s inhuman destruction of the martyrs\u2019 graves and the elimination of traces of its crimes,\u201d \u201cThe clerical regime wants to erase evidence of its crimes in Khavaran,\u201d \u201cDestroying Khavaran is Khamenei\u2019s crime against humanity,\u201d and \u201cdestroying Khavaran is evidence of the mullahs\u2019 crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Mrs. Rajavi urged the United Nations Secretary-General, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Human Rights Council, and international human rights organizations to condemn this criminal act and take immediate action to prevent the continuing destruction of the graves of the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/the-1988-massacre-in-iran\/\" rel=\"noopener\">1988 massacre victims<\/a> and pressures and coercion imposed on Bahai\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"iran-amlash-mek-network-activities-25042021\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-238596\"
