Now, as the crises deepen in Iran, people\u2019s hatred toward the regime for its role in devastating their lives increases. One of Iran\u2019s economic crises is rampant unemployment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cIn the next five years, the active population of the country will reach 29 million. Not a single rial has been added to the 1.6 million rial income of a family. Their income today is the same as last year: 1.6 million rials for a family of one and 5 million rials for a family of five, or 34,400 rials per day. These bottled waters cost 15,000 rials. So with the income we&#039;re giving people, they can drink one bottle in the morning, one at lunchtime and half a bottle at night. This is what we are depriving from the poor. Whose lavish expenses have made others destitute? No one knows their pain. How can they cover housing, clothing, transportation, food, education, medical expenses and sanitation with 34,400 rials? And even that is being deprived of them. Where is all the money from the budget being spent?&quot;\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"lL\" style=\"max-width:100%;width:853px;margin:5px;\"><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Farhikhtegan concludes that in Iran, under the mullahs\u2019 regime, \u201c40% of the unemployed have a university degree. 71% of educated women are unemployed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Many educated Iranians are either <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-unemployment-crisis-continues-to-worsen\/\" rel=\"noopener\">unemployed<\/a> or work as seasonal and contract workers. All the while, Iranian workers cannot make their ends meet due to the high inflation rate and skyrocketing prices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cWorkers and employees\u2019 lives are collapsing due to the rampant inflation, their several times lower than the poverty line wages in rial and skyrocketing prices of goods in the dollar,\u201d wrote the state-run Kar-o- Kargar on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cFamilies cannot afford the staggering cost of living. The number of child labor is increasing daily. According to welfare officials, there is 4,500 child labor in Tehran alone,\u201d Kar-o- Kargar added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The regime and its apologists try to blame sanctions for all of Iran\u2019s hardships. But this is far from reality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cLet us not forget that the root of many people\u2019s protests against the country\u2019s economic affairs is due to the actions of corrupt officials. The regime\u2019s economic mismanagement &amp; corruption have devastated Iran\u2019s economy. Thus, all walks of life are grappling with poverty &amp; a high inflation rate. Hojatollah Abdolmaleki, deputy director of the so-called Imam Khomeini Relief Committee: \u201cIn 2018, the average cost of food per person was 150,000 tomans per month, but now it has reached 600,000 tomans.\u201d State-run Resalat daily: Retirees stage protests because their \u201cpensions do not even answer their needs to purchase food.\u201d These factors have turned Iranian society into a powder keg. The daily protests in Iran, including retirees\u2019 protests &amp; the uprising in Sistan &amp; Baluchistan foretell a nationwide uprising. Protest movements have features that distinguish them from previous ones: Extensiveness &amp; intensity. State-run Etemad daily, Feb 28, 2021: \u201cThe wild horse of unrest is going from one city to another, leaving many injuries &amp; dangers in the system.\u201d State-run Jahan-e Sanat daily, Feb 28: These protests are like \u201ca time bomb under the skin of society. No one knows when it will explode.\u201d These signs foretell that Iran is on the verge of a revolution. This economic failure on such a large scale generates anger. The plundered investors are angry because official procedures have caused them to lose their capital,\u201d Hamdeli wrote, referring to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/irans-stock-market-exchange-crisis-sign-of-regimes-economic-mismanagement-institutionalized-corruption\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Iran\u2019s stock market crisis<\/a>, during which the regime plundered millions of Iranians.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cThe lack of improvement and the continuation and new arrangements to compensate for or reduce this economic failure by the officials increases people\u2019s anger. Oppressing these plundered people, such as what happened during recent protests, also increases people\u2019s anger,\u201d Hamdeli adds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cImagine workers and employees who are dissatisfied with their low income. These low incomes alone, which are their inalienable right, generates anger. But when in the face of their demands, they receive this answer \u2018take it or leave it,\u201d the anger is intensified. When the existing legal mechanisms cannot respond to this part of the demand, it is as if a brick is put on the wall of anger again,\u201d Hamdeli warns regime officials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Hamdeli later in its article echoes the regime\u2019s fear of another uprising like the one in November 2019 following the fuel price hike and nationwide protests in January 2020, after the regime shot down a Ukrainian passenger jet. Hamdeli warns that as time pass \u201cthe anger is reproduced and this will be the same society immersed in anger\u201d toward the regime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/stats.sender.net\/forms\/dGYVLa\/view\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-219239 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1.png\" alt=\"Weekly-Signe-up-logo-1\" width=\"250\" height=\"83\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iran and Iranian people are suffering from various economic, social, and environmental crises.
