NCRI –\u00a0One day after Ishaq Jahangiri, the first vice president of the Iranian regime, said most victims of the recent earthquake belong to the Mehr residence, the head of the regime’s engineering system organization announced that the organization had \u201cno oversight\u201d over the construction of the Mehr housing project.<\/p>\n
According to the state-run Fars news agency affiliated to IRGC, the head of the organization, Hassan Gurbankhani, said: \u201cThe engineering system organization had no supervision over the construction of the Mehr housing units, and no monitoring engineer has been introduced by the organization for the housing units.\u201d<\/p>\n
In this regard, Saber Pirbornash, Director of Public Relations of Tehran\u2019s Engineering System Organization, told the state-run \u201cIran\u201d newspaper: \u201cThe custodians of the Mehr housing project announced that they would not need to be supervised by the engineering organization in order to reduce costs and increase construction speed, while construction of all urban buildings should be done through the municipality and the engineering system organization.\u201d<\/p>\n
The state-run \u201cIran\u201d newspaper quoted Mohammad Reza Habibi, member of the board of directors of the engineering system of Kermanshah, as saying that in Mehr housing project \u201cthe cost of construction from was reduced from 600,000 Toman per meter to 300,000 Toman per meter, which surely lead to a decline in the quality and use of materials with lower standards in Mehr housing across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
