An audio interview with Mohammad Javad Zarif,\u00a0 the Iranian regime\u2019s\u00a0foreign minister had been leaked to\u00a0the\u00a0state media\u00a0earlier this week.\u00a0This audiotape has increased the regime\u2019s infightings.<\/p>\n

In his interview, Mohammad-Javad<\/a> Zarif confirmed the mullahs\u2019 foreign policy is only meant to justify the regime\u2019s terrorism. Zarif tried to blame Qassem<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Soleimani,\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s terror mastermind, who<\/span>\u00a0was killed in a US drone strike<\/span>\u00a0in January 2020<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Soleimani<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>was the\u00a0<\/span>commander of the Revolutionary Guard<\/a><\/span>s (IRGC)\u00a0<\/span>Quds Force<\/span><\/a>. Soleimani\u00a0<\/span>had previously overshadowed Javad Zarif in matters of foreign policy, as when\u00a0<\/span>Zarif<\/span>\u00a0was excluded from talks with the Iran-backed Syrian dictator, Bashar al-Assad.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Zarif\u2019s interview\u00a0<\/span>confirmed that the regime\u2019s export of terrorism<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>has<\/span> been the primary source of foreign policy decisions\u00a0<\/span>of the ruling theocracy. Zarif tries to shift the blame on Soleimani, by saying that the<\/span>\u00a0military focus had gotten in the way of the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>diplomacy<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>But<\/span>\u00a0m<\/span>any of his earlier statements\u00a0<\/span>s<\/span>uggest<\/span>ed<\/span>\u00a0otherwise, including a 2019 speech during a visit to the IRGC\u2019s headquarters, in which he proclaimed that he and Soleimani had strategic discussions on a weekly basis and had\u00a0<\/span>no\u00a0<\/span>differences with each other.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
