Following heavy rainfall<\/a> in recent days, floods have ravaged 47 cities in 8 Iranian provinces, killing at least ten people and destroying. Floods in recent years have taken the lives of many Iranians and destroyed their lives. These floods are happening while, according to regime officials, Iran is suffering from drought.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The regime\u2019s president Hassan Rouhani recently admitted that \u201cwe are facing drought this year.\u201d Other officials constantly report declining water supplies and declining water levels in dam lakes, and severe summer droughts and power outages.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Why would Iranians have to suffer from both drought and devastating floods?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Like Iran\u2019s economy, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)<\/a> dominates Iran\u2019s natural resources and wastes them for more profit. For instance, the IRGC<\/a> has dug deep wells, destroying groundwater aquifers in Iran. On Tuesday, the state-run <\/span>Hamshahri<\/span>\u00a0admitted that the regime had drained 74,000 cubic kilometers of groundwater, which has \u201cIncreased soil salinity and abundance in land subsidence\u201d and has led to the loss of soil fertility and the death of vast plains prone to agriculture.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
