In recent days, Iran\u2019s state-run media have acknowledged some facts about the country\u2019s economic crisis<\/a> and how\u00a0<\/span>corruption<\/a> and\u00a0<\/span>the regime\u2019s wrong policies have destroyed Iran\u2019s economic infrastructure.\u00a0<\/span>Even t<\/span>he\u00a0<\/span>engineered numbers<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>regarding the economic statistics\u00a0<\/span>pu<\/span>blished by the state-run media<\/span>\u00a0show the plight of Iranians facing poverty, inflation, and other hardships.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIn a recent report, the Statistics Center of Iran referred to the situation of the Gini coefficient in Iran, which shows that this coefficient had an upward trend in 2010 s. This means that economic inequalities and social class gaps have increased significantly,\u201d wrote the state-run\u00a0<\/span>Resalat<\/span>\u00a0daily on Tuesday, May 11.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Resalat<\/span>\u00a0further states that \u201cThe country\u2019s economy experienced<\/a> negative economic growth from 2017 to 2019, and an increase in the exchange rate caused inflation to skyrocket, and promises such as reducing class differences, eradicating corruption, economic prosperity, and job creation failed.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The rising inflation and the exchange rate are due to the\u00a0<\/span>regime\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>corruption.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On February 26, Mahmoud\u00a0<\/span>Vaezi<\/span>, chief of staff of the regime\u2019s president Hassan Rouhani, said: \u201cWe increased the dollar exchange rate to control Iran\u2019s economy.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He admitted that \u201cEconomically, the exchange rate in Iran is not 25 or 27 thousand tomans per dollar, and we did this so that we could manage the country\u2019s economy.
