Reports\u202f<\/span>tallied<\/span><\/a>\u202fby the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> indicate there have been several protests in recent days across Iran by different walks of life. These protests are due to harsh living conditions\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>coronavirus outbreaks<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>under the mullahs\u2019 regime.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Sunday, Iranian pensioners and retirees<\/a> of the social security organization held their nationwide protests.\u00a0<\/span>They\u00a0<\/span>went\u00a0<\/span>to the streets again,<\/span>\u00a0protesting the unbearable living conditions and the below-poverty line salaries. In Tehran, repressive forces and plainclothes agents gathered in front of the Social Security Organization to prevent the formation of the retirees\u2019 protest rally.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They chanted: \u201cOnly by taking to the streets, we can get our rights,\u201d \u201cOur salary is in rials, while our expenses are in dollars,\u201d \u201cSocial Security, the name does not match the doings,\u201d \u201cRetirees stand up against oppression,\u201d \u201cWe are facing the Coronavirus crisis, and discrimination and nobody (the regime) cares about us,\u201d \u201cWe will not vote anymore, we have heard too many lies,\u201d \u201cDown with Rouhani,\u201d and \u201d Imprisoned workers must be released.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to retirees, Iranian students have been continuing their rallies across Iran, protesting the regime\u2019s decision to hold the in-person exams amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Students in dozen Iranian cities gathered in front of the Education Departments. They chanted, \u201cWe do not want the in-person exams.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
