Iran: Coronavirus Fatalities Exceed 287,300 Over 287,300 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 541 cities checkered across all of Iran\u2019s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People&#039;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran as of Thursday. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 76,231, around a fourth of the actual figure. In Hormozgan province of southern Iran authorities are concerned about the death of two patients who contracted the Indian African variant. This can trigger a new and dangerous peak in Hormozgan province. \u201cThese two patients who lost their lives were from the cities of Parsian and Minab.
