Iran’s regime’s infightings have increased before the upcoming sham presidential<\/a> election on June 18.\u00a0<\/span>While the regime\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei<\/a> had previously warned about the consequences of these infightings, his regime officials continue attacking each other.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cThe political atmosphere is at the height of fragmentation<\/a>, and society is bewildered and undecided. This is a great danger that will be crushing if we do not act and the political division and hostility continue,\u201d Sharq daily warned the regime officials on Thursday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While announcing his candidacy for the sham presidential election on May 15, Ali Larijani<\/a>, former parliament\u2019s speaker, said: \u201cThe field of economics is neither a barracks nor a court to be ruled by order.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Larijani was attacking Khamenei\u2019s candidate, Ebrahim Raisi,<\/a> the current Judiciary Chief, and other candidates such as Hossain Dehghan,<\/a> who are the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)<\/a> top commanders.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In response, Khamenei\u2019s faction lashed Larijani. On May 15, Javad Karimi\u00a0Ghodoosi, a former member of the regime\u2019s parliament, accused Larijani of having secret relations with the United Kingdom.\u00a0Ghodoosi\u00a0called the Guardian Council to disqualify Larijani.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The IRGC\u2019s officials telegram account on May 18 wrote: \u201cReformists golden replacement in last moments for election. Larijani replaces Rouhani.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mohsen Rezaee,<\/a> the first Commander of the IRGC, on May 15, also attacked Larijani and Eshaq Jahangiri, the current vice president of the regime\u2019s president Hassan Rouhani. \u201cYes, the economic field is neither a barracks nor a court. But it is neither a place for hollow remarks. Officials\u2019 hollow remarks have seriously damaged Iran\u2019s economy,\u201d Rezaee said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to underline that those who came here are the ones behind the country\u2019s problems. They created such a drama, some of them cried. Gentlemen, where were you? You are the cause of the misfortunes of the Iranians today. If these previous governments and parliaments had acted correctly, would we have been entangled in this situation today?\u201d Rezaee added according to the state-run Iran daily.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Sunday, MP Mehdi Esmaili also lashed Jahangiri<\/a> and Larijani. \u201cOnce they speak about the field and diplomacy, once they speak of being a colonel or a jurist, and now\u00a0in line\u00a0with their deceptive strategy compare economy with barracks and the court. Those who say these words are the main culprits of people\u2019s current poor living conditions,\u201d Esmaili said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLarijani is dreaming about reaching Pastor [where the office of the President is located.] Thus, he adjusts his position with the wind,\u201d said MP Ebrahim Azizi on Sunday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLarijani is the cause of the current situation and his crime in the sufferings of the country and the people today is no less than Hassan Rouhani and Ishaq Jahangiri,\u201d said MP Mansour Ali Zarei\u00a0Kiapi\u00a0on May 16.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the regime\u2019s sham presidential election in 2016, Rouhani underlined Raisi\u2019s role in the 1988 massacre, forcing Khamenei to avoid selecting Raisi, fearing people\u2019s hatred toward the \u201changing judge.\u201d Recently, Rouhani also indirectly referred to Raisi\u2019s role as the caretaker of the Astan-e Quds Razavi,<\/a> Iran\u2019s largest financial institution.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are the meanings of Mr. Rouhani\u2019s words? He said, \u2018leave Imam Reza for people.\u2019 Did Mr. Raisi confiscate Imam Reza for himself? What about speaking of 38 years of torture and executions? Were you not in the Supreme Security Council? I call this modern charlatanism,\u201d\u00a0Freydoun\u00a0Abbassi, Chairman of the Energy Commission of the Parliament and one of the regime\u2019s candidates, attacked Rouhani on Tuesday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe creators of the current situation, mainly the economic [crisis], shouldn\u2019t speak reforming and resolving country\u2019s issues,\u201d said MP Malek Shariati on May 18.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMost of these people do not have an acceptable record, and, strangely, they say that they are looking to improve the current situation and solve the country\u2019s problems. Inflation crossed 50% and broke the 75-year record of the country, which shows the weakness of the government\u2019s economic team,\u201d Shariati added, according to Mehr News Agency, an outlet linked to the regime\u2019s Ministry of Intelligence and Security.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The reality is unforgettable, no matter how hard you try to change yourself,\u201d said MP\u00a0Nasrollah\u00a0Pejmanfar\u00a0on Thursday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the date of the sham elections approaches, the regime\u2019s infightings increase. Khamenei has decided to eliminate candidates of the rival faction by using the Guardian Council. But, due to the danger of the regime\u2019s escalating factional feuds and the danger of the restive society, will he be able to select Raisi?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In an article on Thursday, Resalat daily warned the regime\u2019s factions of increasing factional feuds ahead of the election, described as \u201cfake polarization.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
