This is a massive uptick from April when this campaign began in earnest, where 250 places saw this type of anti-regime activities. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 80,488, around a fourth of the actual figure. \u201cWe are forecasting that the current circumstances will continue for the next month. It is not likely for the daily death toll to drop below 100 in the next two weeks,\u201d said Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi on Wednesday. \u201cWe still have over 10,000 new confirmed cases per day. This indicates the virus continues to spread and considering the entry of the Indian and African variants, there is a possibility of a domestic mutation of this virus. We are still very much in danger,\u201d he added, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime&#039;s Ministry of Intelligence and Security. MEK Resistance Units Carried Out Widespread Activities in May During the month of May, over 310 areas in all of Iran\u2019s provinces witnessed activities calling for a boycott of the regime\u2019s sham presidential elections in June. These are activities of the Iranian Resistance Units, the network of the Iranian opposition the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran. This campaign primarily began in April 2021, following the Iranian Resistance\u2019s call to boycott the mullahs\u2019 farce elections. In April, The Resistance Units, carried out anti-regime activities in over 250 places in 27 provinces. The call for a boycott very quickly turned into a nationwide effort and a widespread social movement in Iran.
