In recent\u00a0days\u00a0the regime officials have acknowledged people\u2019s decision to boycott Iran\u2019s sham presidential<\/a> election and the Iranian Resistance\u2019s successful campaign in popularizing this message for the public.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe enemy is spreading the notion about the election being useless,\u201d said Mullah Javad\u00a0Mojtahed\u00a0Shabestri, member of the regime\u2019s Expediency Council, on Friday.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBoycotting the ballot box is not the solution to get through the current difficulties,\u201d said Abdollah Haji Sadeghi, the representative of Ali Khamenei, the regime\u2019s supreme leader, in the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)<\/a>. \u201cSome propagandas are not right and honest. Some have serious programs to use people\u2019s feelings, which will fail due to people\u2019s intelligence,\u201d he added, according to the semi-official ISNA News Agency on Friday.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSome people are colliding with the enemies\u2019 plan calling for boycotting the election. The enemies, after achieving their goal, are seeking to increase pressures and sanctions [on the regime] and demand more concessions, causing security breaches,\u201d said\u00a0Yadollah\u00a0Javani, IRGC\u2019s Political Deputy, according to the state-run Tasnim News Agency on Thursday.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs the election approaches, the psychological warfare of the enemies against the [regime] using diplomatic means, news and satellite networks, and cyberspace to boycott the elections has intensified,\u201d wrote the state-run Javan daily on Thursday.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cChallenging the system\u2019s structure and relating it to its general policies and management, inducing the election is engineered, provoking dissident to pursue regime change and holding rallies to protest the procedure of vetting candidates, provoking people, particularly those impoverished, to act against the system and accusing officials of not willing to resolve people\u2019s, is the enemy\u2019s tactics,\u201d Javan daily claimed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The enemy and its activities which have terrified the entire\u00a0regime\u00a0is\u00a0the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK)<\/a> and its internal network of \u201cResistance Units.\u201d Since 1981, the MEK has been the flagbearer of rejecting the myth of moderation in the regime and defending the Iranian people\u2019s rights to regime change and democracy.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In recent months ahead of the election, the MEK\u2019s Resistance Units have spread their activities across the country, calling for boycotting the regime\u2019s sham election in June. These activities include installing posters, images, and banners to support regime change.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the major Iran protests in November 2019, and after the regime killed over 1500 innocent civilians, people\u2019s conflict with the regime has reached an irreversible point. The regime has not resolved people\u2019s economic and social concerns and has increased them by its corruption and warmongering policies. Thus, Iran\u2019s society is on the verge of explosion.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a bid to face this restive society, Khamenei intends to consolidate power in his regime by pulling Ebrahim Raisi<\/a> out of the ballot box. Raisi, the current Judiciary Chief, played a key role in the 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners, mostly MEK supporters.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In recent days, the MEK Resistance Units targeted Raisi and his role in human rights violations by writing slogans across Iran. These slogans on the wall\u202f<\/span>read<\/span><\/a>: \u201cRaisi is the murderer of 30,000 political prisoners, Iranian people\u2019s vote is regime change,\u201d \u201cDown with Raisi,\u201d \u201cDown with Khamenei, hail to\u00a0Rajavi,\u201d and \u201cIranian people\u2019s vote is regime change,\u201d were spread in these cities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In\u202f<\/span>May<\/span><\/a>, the MEK\u2019s Resistance Units spread calls for boycotting the regime sham election in over 310 areas across Iran\u2019s 31 provinces. This campaign began in April 2021, after the Iranian\u00a0Resistance called for boycotting the regime\u2019s farce election. According to the MEK\u2019s\u202f<\/span>website<\/span><\/a>: \u201cIn April, The Resistance Units carried out anti-regime activities in over 250 places in 27 provinces.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now the call for a boycott has turned into a nationwide effort. During their daily protests, people from all walks of life are heard chanting, \u201cWe\u2019ve heard so many lies that we won\u2019t vote anymore,\u201d and \u201cWe\u2019ve seen too much injustice, we won\u2019t vote anymore.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The MEK\u2019s efforts Iranian people\u2019s desire for boycotting the regime\u2019s farce election inside Iran has been widely supported by members of the Iranian diaspora in the United States, Canada, and across Europe. They have held dozens of protests echoing the Iranian people\u2019s call for regime change.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
